After dinner, Ji Junmei went to Ji Junxue's room to find her.
Ji Junxue was sitting at her desk, catching up on homework she hadn't finished yesterday.
Hearing the door open, she instinctively glanced back.
She called softly, "Sis!"
Then she turned back and continued busying herself with the computer work.
Ji Junxue closed the door, walked to Ji Junxue, pulled up a chair, and sat down beside her desk.
She called out.
"Junxue!"
Ji Junxue stopped typing on the keyboard and turned her head to look at Ji Junmei.
"Sis, do you need something?"
Ji Junmei got straight to the point without any preamble.
"Junxue, you know about your sister's issues. Because of my mistake, I've tarnished your brother-in-law's reputation. He's surely harboring some resentment towards me. I just came back, and I need to mend things with him."
