Su Nian nearly choked on her toast and quickly washed it down with a couple of sips of milk.
She glanced at him, his face cold, his thin lips somehow indicative of his heartlessness. Yet, the incongruity of hearing such words from him was unsettling.
His figure was subjected to a brazen scrutiny. Zheng Haoyu seemed indifferent, calmly eating his breakfast while allowing Su Nian to satisfy her curiosity.
After gawking at him for several minutes, Su Nian found it fruitless and decided to continue eating her food.
"Are you done eating?" Zheng Haoyu asked with a seemingly considerate tone, seeing her put down her chopsticks.
Pulling out a napkin, she weakly wiped the corners of her mouth. "I'm done."
"Let's go." Without uttering another word, he reached across the table to help her up and, whether she liked it or not, led her out of the room.
