Chapter 147 - Really? Copycat.

The crowned double only sneered. It swept its glass-forged blade outward, and in answer its corrupted mist surged, jagged and unnatural, splitting the air like cracks in reality.

The two forces collided midair. Shadows met shadows—pure hunger against corrupted venom. They tore into each other, writhing, devouring, unraveling in a furious clash. The pressure forced the mirrors to bend and distort, whole walls groaning under the strain.

Then came the collapse.

The energies exploded in a burst of broken light, shards of black and silver raining down like fragments of a shattered star.

The hall shuddered violently.

Every reflection rippled, warped, screamed. For a heartbeat, it felt as though the entire Hall of Mirrors might come crashing down.
