Cinder read the sign twice just to make sure he didn't misread it. He spoken is a tone of calm anger "How many ret*rds did you eat before thinking of this sh*tty idea?" Essence gave a quick glance to Cinder and continued to speak, ignoring his comment " Think about it. there are at least 100 animals in here but still it's so silent here. This can only mean one of 2 things, either they all killed each other or someone in powerful is controlling them." Slumber started to approach the zoo with slow steps; Cinder followed him after using 'Call' on Rocky. Slumber also whistled to call Bronzy to scout ahead. Slowly with caution they reached the museum before the zoo. Cinder inquired "Does this thing got swords or anything we can use?" Essence responds in an annoyed tone "That's an art museum. Even if it had weapons what u going to fight with a rusty sword?" Cinder still added "What if they become artifacts though? that doesn't seem so farfetched after all this." Essence ignored his words completely and continued to walk ahead towards the zoo area. Cinder took one last glance at the museum and ran back to Essence.
They reached the gate of the Zoo. It was brought to dush. only a handful things left standing. it looked like a warzone but fought with flesh and blood. The walls left standing are stained red with blood with a few small remains of rotting flesh it smelled foul enough to make not approach the walls close. Walking further ahead held a more gruesome sight. Broken glasses everywhere and cages broken out of and the most noticeable thing in such an awful sight, bones of unknown animals. The dried-up blood with flies as big as a human eye swarming over them. Essence and Cinder held their makeshift weapons tight, ready for a weird fight, but the flies didn't attack but rather flew off. They both let out a sigh of relief. Essence with his nose covered picked up the bone with his leg and kicked it away to the side to look at it better. He asks Cinder "What animal does have this type of bone? I think it's maybe a monkey or something." Cinder makes a Bone chilling comment in a voice laced with fear "IT-IT'S A HU-HUMAN BONE!" Essence shunned his theory "Don't be fu*king ridicules. ITS A THIGH BONE! human thighs are like double its size. it probably belongs to a mon- " "NO!" Cinder cuts of Essence mid-sentence "It's a child's bone." Essence shakes in fear and jumps away from the bone. it falls down and bounces on the ground. Cinder and Essence both now understand, they have stepped foot in Death's dean.
Back at camp Herb and Rintaro were still debating if they did the right choice for letting just them 2 go alone. Rintaro asks Herb "Are you sure they will be, OK? I have a bad feeling something might go wrong." Herb answers in a loud commanding voice "DUDE! Don't jinx it. They will be fine. Essence might look dumb and act dumb too, but he is smart. His smartness is something even scary. I mean just look at our base. would u believe this was created in 20 minutes." It zooms out to the whole base. It's a circular area in the middle of 7 roadways. it serves as a really good hub for travel and do to it being a lively place, there are a lot of convenient places for essentials gathering. The main base was also park so it contained a water tank and a washroom. The benches in the park before was used to make barricade on the 1 one the 2 gates to reduce the manpower required to watch over. While Cinder was out of steam they also went ahead and broke down a few things and cleared out the whole 2700sqm area from all the obstacles except water tank and the washroom. Small huts made my herb's father and the place looked like a small village. Herb looks at everything they created and can't help but feel bad for calling it a childish dream. He shakes his head as if trying to rinse off these thoughts and continues to help the others settle in.
Back to Essence and Cinder. They continued to walk but now with dread and fear. Every step they took made them feel like they are closer to death. While walking with pin drop silence, a broken glass shard fell down and shattered with a loud crack noise. Cinder and Rocky became Battle ready. He looked next to him, expecting to see Essence also be ready but Essence was nowhere to be seen. Cinder looked far away to see him running like there is mo tomorrow and Cinder got on Rocky's back to give chase. He soon caught up with him and asked in a frantic voice "WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING FROM?" Essence replied in a similar tone "I DON'T KNOW BUT I DON'T WANT TO FIND OUT ASWELL." Cinder now speak with anger "HOW COULD YOU BE SUCH A PU*SY." "IM NOT GOING TO WAIT FOR FOR TGE CHILD EATER TO EAT ME. IM STILL YOUNG. I HAVEN'T EVEN HAD MY FISRT KISS YET." Essence responds with noticeable fatigue. They reached the gate they entered from while arguing. Before they could reach a leaps length to the gate. Something big jumped down from the gate. It was slender and humanlike. Only thing inhuman about it was the presence of unfathomable amount of human hair and a tail. It was a monkey. A 6 feet tall monkey. Taller then both Essence and Cinder. They both stopped dead in their tracks and the money started to make growling noises. Cinder asked Essence "Were you ready to fight a Monkey on steroids?" But a rather unknown voice answered "It's not on steroids. It's just a trained guard."
