Mark Reed held Valentine's finger and didn't want to let go.
"Don't... don't... do this..."
Valentine pleaded softly, unable to handle such tender care; even if he were harsh, or disliked her, it would be better than this.
Gentleness is poison, she really couldn't stand it, her whole body felt uncomfortable!
He laughed, opened his mouth to release her finger, and teasingly asked, "What do you mean by 'don't'?"
"Annoying!"
Valentine playfully hit his chest with a fist, her face turning even redder.
The delicate demeanor of the little woman fell into Mark Reed's eyes.
He laughed heartily.
The clouds pressing on his chest scattered a lot, and he was more determined about one thing: he wanted her, to keep her by his side to feel safe.
Mark Reed caught Valentine's small hand that had hit his chest, and with a motion, pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly.
Her soft body melted into his arms like a fluffy cloud, feeling weightless.
"Mark Reed, does your arm still hurt?"
