Nana Monty raised her fist but hadn't swung it out yet, when someone behind complained, "If you don't want to watch the movie, we still do. Please sit down and don't disturb others, okay?"
Nana Monty pouted, glared at Jayden Maguire, and plopped back into her seat, biting the popcorn with a loud "crunch" as if she were biting Jayden Maguire instead, but it wasn't enough to quell her anger.
"I just wanted to watch the movie with you."
His voice was soft and gentle, not like he was speaking to Nana Monty but more like talking to himself, because Nana Monty ignored him, focusing on the movie and treating him like he was invisible.
"I managed to get some time off to come back and see you and the kids. I'm heading back tomorrow!" Jayden Maguire continued talking to himself, and Nana Monty couldn't be bothered to respond.
"What do you want to eat tonight? I'll call Mom and Dad and ask them to come out for dinner."
