After four morning classes, students either started club activities, took part-time jobs, or went home to be couch potatoes.

Arakawa Reina chose to work a part-time job.

She said goodbye to her acquaintances—not exactly friends, just people she got along with ordinarily.

To avoid being bullied by her classmates, she had managed to blend into a group of well-behaved students in her class.

In that group, she was practically invisible.

Arakawa Reina slouched as she left Brilliant High School at a normal pace. She really disliked the scorching sunlight outside; in fact, she detested any hot day.

The inevitable shift to cooler clothing for girls thwarted her desire to cover up her chest.

Perhaps it was psychological, but Arakawa Reina always felt that boys were staring at her chest. She hated that feeling.

She did not like drawing attention, as it meant trouble and would lead to unnecessary social interactions.
