1pm at the Beach
" Who is ready for the fun!" One of the people at the beach shouted.
They all chorused in unison making some weird noises, there were about fifty of them at the beach if you are to guess although it was kind of twenty of them who were partaking at the fun game, the rest people were either older and didn't have the strength for fun nor they were lazy to partake and were just enjoying the foods and drinks at the beach.
Some of the people at the beach were close neighbors, some group of friends who had came to spend their time at the beach or some people staying at the resort and had came as part of their paid service.
" Who is in for a thug of war?" He shouted again and noises were heard followed by whisperings of people explaining to those who knew nothing about it.
" First of all, we will be divided into two groups..." Few persons interrupted him with a scream of joy before he continued.
" The both groups will be holding each sides of these thick rope and you are going to drag it with all the strength you have until one of the groups fall over to your side. The loosing team will walk into the beach water as the winning team rubs their entire body with wet sands" He explained again.
Whisperings and laughter filled the air as they started creating the two groups they wanted to be involved with.
The people who didn't join the fun game didn't hesitate to come closer to watch the competitors while still having their drinks and snacks with them. Kelvin, Mary and Claire were opposing Melinda, Derek and Timmy at the groups. The game started at the sound of the whistle. The two groups dragged each other front and back with all the strengths they had in them for good ten minutes before the group Derek, Melinda and Timmy fell over to the other side of the group and lost the game.
Continuous laughter filled the air as the loosing group made their way to the water in other to be baptized by the wet sands. Each group of friends had fun teasing their loosing friends with sand for the failure. As this was going on, Mary pushed down Claire into the beach waters which looked funny to everyone as they were laughing, but the case wasn't the same for Claire who had frowned her face
" What the hell Bitch!" Claire shouted at her causing everyone to pause and look at her.
She has always been that short- tempered.
" I am sorry, it was a mistake" Mary apologized
" Babe, it was a mistake " Timmy said holding her hands.
" I think you should apologize to Mary for shouting at her, you shouldn't take your anger at her" Kelvin said causing his friends to look up at him in surprise.
