Once the wooden box was closed, Wang Youbao took out a stack of silver notes from his chest and handed them to Li Wuyu: "Here are fifty thousand taels, keep them with you in case you need them."
Li Wuyu refused: "The military camp gives me two taels of silver every month, and I haven't used any of that silver yet. You don't have to give me more; having so much money on me makes me afraid I might lose it."
Seeing Li Wuyu's insistence, Wang Youbao compromised, "Then at least take one thousand taels; with so little silver on you, I can't feel at ease."
Li Wuyu saw that Wang Youbao was genuinely uneasy, so she agreed: "Alright then."
