Ah Cheng and Chi Jingxuan were asked to sit down. Camille went into the kitchen and started brewing coffee.
Soon, the entire room was filled with a rich, mellow aroma that was utterly soothing.
After pouring coffee for Chi Jingxuan and Ah Cheng, Camille cut straight to the chase and asked, "You want to know if David's amnesia was artificially induced, right?"
Chi Jingxuan nodded, "Twenty-two years ago, my mother died in a car accident. Not long after, David lost his memory. Recently, I learned that what everyone thought was an accident back then was actually a carefully orchestrated conspiracy. So, I suspect that David's amnesia might not be a coincidence either."
Upon hearing Chi Jingxuan's words, Camille froze momentarily and then became visibly dazed.
She held the cup of hot coffee in her hands but didn't drink it, as if attempting to draw some warmth from it.
