As soon as she had come out of her room to find him, she had been grabbed and abducted by Cara, who wanted someone for Rue to spar with who was also a mage, and not too much physically larger than the Princess.
Of course, the dragon was Mythic Ranked, as Divine Fire Dragons were normally born as Overlords. But Cara didn't mind, and Rue was happy to adopt her with Cara's recommendation.
"Karl, meet my friend Flicker. She's going to stay here as an Alchemist. Isn't that awesome? You know Alchemy, right? Will you be teaching her too?" Rue asked.
