Chapter 1429 - Maze For The Immortal

The Immortal looked around nervously at the ancient castle in front of him. Something was vaguely off about this place, but there was so much magic in the walls that it was impossible to tell what exactly it was.

The stone itself was ancient, imbued with a magic far beyond his own level, but there were other enchantments here, weaker ones. 

What he couldn't tell was if they were intended to be a non-lethal method of capture, an afterthought, or if the spells had started to fade with age, and simply couldn't maintain their integrity anymore.

If that was the case, he had come just in time.

The Professors had informed him that this backwater mortal world held a Legendary treasure, a gift left behind by an ancient being before it ascended to minor divinity. 

They didn't know what it was, but the Professors had never steered him wrong before, and the magic of this place certainly did feel like it could have been done by a Legend.
