At Arlong base….
Nami is right now in the Arlong base since Arlong is gone, so this base is pretty much empty meaning no danger but this time she isn't coming for treasure or anything valuable Rather this time she comes for something which belongs to her
Nami entered a room which was filled with papers or more like charts, these charts originally made by her under Arlong
She has a rare talent in navigation as she once dreamed of making a map covering the whole world but unfortunately due to Arlong her dream was crushed as she tirelessly worked for Arlong's sole profit
He exploited her not only for money but also for her skills, which is the reason she despised him to the core, Luckily it's fine now she is finally free all thanks to Yoriichi
'Are all people like Yoriichi out there?' Nami asked this question in her mind as she never imagined someone strong like Yoriichi to exist
Especially how easily Arlong beat Arlong, the nemesis of her life, with such a gentle swing of his blade, she didn't know how exactly strong he was.
One thing she knows for certain is that he is insanely strong, thinking about her behaviour when she met him, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed
"I wonder what kind of clown I would be in their eyes" Nami muttered in a soft tone as she thought about how much of an idiot she would look in their eyes
Since they clearly told her that they are a lot stronger than Arlong still she acts like a little kid who refused to listen
'Well it is not my fault, especially when they don't look dont strong' Nami inwardly commented on this in her mind as she blamed both of them for looking so weak
Since a Woman looks at someone noble while a man looks too peaceful like he never fought before otherwise she would agree to take their help
"Anyway, I am grateful for their help" Nami said in a low tone as she started to take all the charts from the room and decided to destroy it with her own hands
She would rather start from the beginning than use charts that she prepared under Arlong Oppression, as one by one tearing all the charts into pieces with her own hands
If she uses these charts then it will remind her about Arlong which she definitely doesn't want, as she would rather make new charts than use these ones
'This is done and now the last thing I need to completely separate herself from her nemesis' Nami inwardly said this in her mind while she looked at the tattoo on her shoulder
This tattoo showcases that she is a member of the Fisher men pirates, and she wanna remove it in order to completely sever her ties with these pirates
'Unfortunately, I can't really erase this' Nami inwardly said this as she knows that completely erasing this tattoo isn't possible unless she ripped off her shoulder skin but luckily Nami has an idea of what she could do
With that in mind, she completed the task she was doing and then exited the place, leaving behind torn pieces of paper
....
30 minutes later….
It's been half an hour since Nami returned from Arlong base as the first time she did was to apologise to all villagers for all those years she treated them badly
In response Villagers quickly forgave her since they also knew that she was doing all of that for their sake as the celebration continued after Nami joined
After a while, Nami separated herself from the villagers as she moved towards where Yoriichi and Robin currently are
"I am really sorry for my behaviour" Nami said this as she bowed her head 90° towards both Robin and Yoriichi as soon as she reached there
"It is okay~ we understand, right?", Robin said this as she looked towards Yoriichi who was sitting beside her
"Yes, you were strong" Yoriichi replied while he looked towards Nami as he thought that Nami was really strong
She wasn't scared to go on the path where she would suffer and she did to protect everything precious to her
"T-thank you?" Nami said this in a somewhat confused tone as she really doesn't know whether he is saying sarcastically or if he really meant it
Since looking at his face it's really tough to tell whether he is telling the truth or lying since his face always has the same look
"I think there is someone you need to meet right now~" Robin said this as she pointed in one direction
Nami looks at the finger direction and sees none other than her sister who is looking at her, seeing her graze
Nami's head automatically got lowered afraid to meet her sister's eyes due to her past actions, Nami feels really ashamed of how she treated her sister
If she were to be honest then the first person Nami wanted to apologise to would be her sister but she couldn't do it due to her fear of not being forgiven, she was just afraid to face him
Still slowly Nami walked towards her sister since she knew it was time to properly face her and apologise for her actions in the past
Soon she reached near her sister as Nami stopped her steps, gathering her courage to speak up to her sister
But before Nami could say anything, Nojiko ran towards Nami and then hugged her tightly with a happy expression on her face
"I-I *sob* am re-really *sob* so-sorry *sob*" Nami tried to speak to apologise but somehow her voice broke as soon as Nojiko hugged her in her arms
Nami broke down as she started to cry in her arms remembering all the times she had treated her badly meanwhile Nojiko started to gently tap her back
"It's all alright" Nojiko spoke in a calm tone as she let Nami cry as long as she wanted to lighten her heart
