Chapter 20 - The First Schedule

The morning light streamed through the tall windows of the west corridor, casting long shafts of pale gold against the polished stone floors. Jordan walked alone, his steps slow, his mind burdened. The dream — no, the invasion of Jayden's dream — still gnawed at him. The way Jayden had looked at him, the words that clung like smoke in his ears: *So… you're here too.*

When Jordan awoke, the parchment lay neatly folded at his bedside. He had turned it over in his hands again and again, running his fingers across the inked lines.

The neat columns made it look almost ordinary, no different from a schedule he might've carried in his old small-town school. But the names — Potions, Spell Theory, Astrian — reminded him just how far from mundane life he was now.

Tuesday morning. He whispered it to himself like a charm. Mathematics, Speech, Combat, History. Four blocks that felt heavy in his hands.

Jordan tucked the parchment into his jacket pocket, his fingers brushing against the faint glow of his Leo crest. His eyes lifted to the grand banners lining the corridor — house emblems embroidered in gold, crimson, azure, and violet — reminders of bonds newly formed.

He took a breath, steadying himself. The day had just begun, and with it, the true rhythm of Prestigeon Academy.

But still, beneath it all, that dream lingered — and the shadow of Jayden's smile followed him into the waking hours.
