The auction hall fell into an uproar.
"Scrutinize him? That's disrespectful!"
"Swatsviky family is now the top 3rd richest family! To demand to scrutinize them…"
They discussed.
"Even if the Petrov's are in second place, they have no right to ask this. Besides, weren't all guests within this hall tonight investigated before they were allowed an invitation?"
Many nodded their heads. "That is true."
"I'm sure that if the Swatsviky's didn't have enough funds, they would have been stopped by now already."
"Indeed."
"Indeed."
The host listened to the discussions of the crowd. He smiled, tilting his head.
"Mr. Swatsvisky, do you allow this?"
The man Swatsvisky, a touch of fine black hair, near middle aged appearing, and a trimmed beard.
He shrugged.
"Ask my wife," as he said so, all guests turned their gazes to the woman seated next to him.
Adeline scrutinized her.
