How could she not feel disheartened?
So many of her colleagues had already become collateral damage, and sooner or later, it could very well be her or Hannah's turn. After all, she was the one who had brought the servants from the Old Mansion into the Green Dragon Manor penthouse, and Hannah had openly offended Silvia by siding with Hera.
That alone was enough to make them targets. Perhaps that was why Silvia had gone so far as to attempt to kill Old Hue, Hannah's own father.
No matter how hard she tried to rationalize it, Silvia only came across as narrow-minded and vicious.
That made her feel all the more sorry for Old Master Avery. He had sponsored that child, practically raising her like a granddaughter. Even though there was always a clear boundary, he had still spent years caring for her, so it would be a lie to say he wouldn't be hurt by her actions.
