So instead of confining her, the only thing they could do was respect her choices.
They would let her move as she wished, take the lead when she deemed it necessary, while they remained behind her, steady and unwavering, silently supporting her and making sure that no matter what path she chose, she would never be facing it alone.
Zhane chose to remain parked at the side of the road instead of heading straight to the designated location. His car was far too conspicuous as it looked sleek, expensive, and easy to remember at a glance. If the abductors truly belonged to the Northern Faction and caught even a hint of someone tailing their trail, it would immediately alert them and ruin any element of surprise.
And that was a risk he couldn't afford.
So he waited.
