"700 years...we don't believe you.Tell us who you really are." A 19 year old woman said as she had daggers pointed at Ren.
"My name is Ren I was originally a member of a human village South West of here although I don't know if they are still there or not." Rens words caused the group of five to turn to each other.
"Our city is in that direction and its been there for multiple centuries.Are you saying that you are originally a part of our city.What put you in this situation?" An 18 year old man with a sword asked curiously.
"I was originally taking part in my coming of age ritual and I died to the vampire count.I have the ability to respawn but my soul was consumed by the count.Thus I had to get rid of the vampire counts stash of souls.I also had to wait until the vampire died in order to respawn." Ren explained what happened to him but didn't expect his fellow humans to believe him whatsoever
Fortunately for him however the humans nodded to each other as though they believed him.
"That would explain why the vampire count was so easy to kill and didn't regenerate from death.They usually have stashs of souls that enable them to survive fatal blows but this one didn't seem to have one." The woman with the daggers said.
"Not to mention this guy mentions that he possesses a special ability.Could he be?" The man with the spear looked at Ren before asking a question.
"Say Ren are you originally from another world that was destroyed or did you die prenaturely by unusual means and come to this world?"
"Yes my original world was destroyed by an asteroid and I was given the power to respawn before coming to this world." Ren found that the mans questions suited him perfectly.
"Yep that's the standard story of a gifted,though to think they go as far back as 700 years.We've only ever had two gifted appear before and both of them never met each other.This guy makes the third gifted our city has ever had.Aren't we lucky?" The man with the spear excitedly talked to his friends.
"To be fair he doesn't seem very useful and his body is only slightly above normal human physical ability.He seems to possess magical ability but he doesn't seem to possess to much mana.I'd say around 900 mana." The woman with daggers appeared to be a bit pessimistic.
"We're probably looking at the downsides to such a powerful ability.He wouldnt have made it to a vampire count if he was just an ordinary person.Lets bring him back to the city and see what the elder nobility think." A 18 year old woman with a staff who was originally silent was now making herself known.
Ren was confused at the prospect of there being fellow reincarnators.Did they possess similar abilities to him or did they possess different abilities.
The group proceeded to hand Ren some spare clothes which he rapidly put on to preserve his dignity.Ren watched as they collected and organised Andreus' loot.
The man with the sword seemed to gain a soul weapon which was the vampire greatsword.The man with the spear seemed to gain the soul armour.There was extra loot such as a few building blue prints,crimson gems,extra weapons,spell tomes and a formula on how to create magical gargoyles.
The group also collected Ren and Ruth's loot which was also on the attic floor.Ren decided to let them keep the loot as he had already learnt the magic from the spell tomes.There were a few extra things in Rens loot that Ren didn't know even belonged to him such as three potions.
Ren was tempted to try and steal the vampire counts loot but he knew he was no match for the group of five as he was now.Even if he didn't lose a grand portion of his physical and magical abilities he still felt he wouldn't be able to beat them.
Ren was also very depressed at losing almost all of his progress as well as having 700 years pass by in the blink of an eye.Everyone he knew was very likely dead.His parents,Raphael and his mentors they were all gone.
As the group of four men and two women left the vampire mansion they turned back to see the vampire mansion dissipating into smoke and disappearing.Ren knew this would happen whenever a dungeon was cleared and everyone exited it.It had been part of his education.
Ren observed his surroundings and saw that the ruins of the ancients city was even more dilapidated and desolate then before if that was even possible.
