Still breathless, Grace rolled onto her side. "You'll survive."
He shot her a playful glare over his shoulder. "Is that all you have to say?" He asked but didn't wait for her response as he moved on.
She watched him disappear into the adjoining room, the sound of running water soon following.
Grace smiled to herself, snuggling into the pillow still warm with his scent.
"Old child," she whispered fondly.
Not even in her wildest dreams could she have imagined that the cool and aloof president of the wealthiest company would condescend to be this cute to an ordinary country bumpkin like her. Life was indeed interesting.
Nothing stays the same forever, and no condition indeed is permanent, she realized.
