"What pain…" His head turned slightly, his jaw buckling under the immense force that clenched his mouth shut, teeth chattering as he walked through the alleyways below the castle, "...Heroes, Nightmares, Goddess, Myths… Why?"

Leaning against the cold stone wall of a random building from inside of the city, he took in a harsh breath that tore through his esophagus like thorns.

"Your so greedy," His eyelid trembled, and a shaky hand rose to cover that eye, that was so blurry it might have been blind, his legs felt weak, "Were my donations… not… enough…?" 

Gripping the corner of the building, he pulled himself into the street, veins thick and pulsing on his neck at the strain of the movement, he began to fall but caught a porches wooden railing, his strength unregulated by his weary mind, he tore it off.

Looking down at his hand with that piece of wood in it, he shut his eyes, and pressed the wood into the ground, using it as a cane to get back up.
