Chapter 148 - We’re Dating! We Can Do Whatever We Want, Right?!

Chapter 148: We're Dating! We Can Do Whatever We Want, Right?!

"Because you're rich!" Tokito declared as though it were perfectly obvious. "Everyone knows you have the most personal points. Two hundred thousand is nothing to you."

After that, Tokito's explanation was almost identical to Shiraki's earlier sales pitch.

Yuto had an enormous number of points. Didn't he want the Class D students to score well too? Good results could earn the class plenty of class points, and so on.

A strange light appeared in Yuto's eyes as he watched Tokito earnestly try to persuade him into buying the papers.

After reading Tokito's thoughts, Yuto clicked his tongue.

This guy genuinely wasn't trying to trick him!

He really did just want to sell the papers.

There was no conspiracy or hidden scheme. He simply wanted personal points.

After dealing almost exclusively with scheming people like Ryuen and Nagumo lately, meeting Tokito suddenly felt strangely refreshing.

No conspiracy.

No ulterior motive.

Just an ordinary transaction for points!

Yuto sighed with relief at finally encountering a normal person.

Then he decisively rejected Tokito's offer.

Once Tokito confirmed that Yuto truly had no intention of buying the papers, he walked away grumbling, presumably looking for another buyer.

Yuto watched him leave with an amused smile.

"Go ahead and sell them. I'd like to see how much trouble you'll be in after the midterm."

The school would no longer reuse previous years' examination papers.

That meant the papers in Ryuen and Tokito's hands were worthless.

The more students Tokito sold them to, the more furious people would come looking for him after the examination.

...

Yuto entered the cafeteria and ate dinner with Kei and Suzune.

Afterward, he accompanied both girls back to the entrance of the first-year dormitory.

"Horikita-san, you go ahead. I still have something I want to talk about with Yuto," Kei said while holding his arm.

Suzune looked calmly at the two of them before nodding and entering the dormitory without expression.

"What did you want to talk about, Kei?" Yuto asked curiously.

A pretty blush appeared on Kei's cheeks.

She lightly tapped the ground with the tip of her shoe and spoke bashfully.

"We have those old papers from Horikita-san's brother, right?"

"Yuto... Do you want to come up to my room and use them to test how much I've improved?"

Kei was boldly inviting Yuto into her dorm room.

Yuto glanced at the blushing Kei. Her shy expression didn't look like she wanted to take an exam at all—it looked like she wanted to do something naughty!

"Well, if you want me to test your academic level, I'd be more than happy to help."

"Really? Then let's go up!" Kei whispered, her cheeks still flushed.

This was the first time she had ever invited a boy into the room where she slept, rested, and bathed.

A strong sense of shyness and nervousness washed over her, but at the same time, she felt a certain level of anticipation and joy.

A young girl experiencing her first love, wanting to do something... embarrassing... with the boy she loved in her room.

Kei's boldness in inviting Yuto to her dorm room was partly due to the kiss he had given her in the library earlier, which had awakened the sweet, fluttering excitement of a young girl.

They took the dormitory elevator to the sixth floor.

Room 603 belonged to Kei.

She unlocked the door with her student ID and quickly pulled Yuto inside, moving so hastily that she looked as though she were doing something forbidden.

"Yuto, change your shoes." Kei pointed toward a pair of indoor slippers.

Yuto looked at the pink slippers.

"Aren't these yours?"

"Do you mind because I've worn them before...?" Kei asked with an aggrieved expression.

Yuto laughed helplessly and pinched her soft cheek.

"That's not what I meant. If I wear them, what are you going to use?"

Hearing that he was not disgusted by them immediately erased Kei's disappointment.

"I can just go without slippers. I mop every three days, so the floor is really clean."

"You should wear them. They look a little too small for me anyway. I'll just stay in my socks."

"Mm."

Kei compared the size of Yuto's feet with her slippers.

They really were several sizes too small.

"Okay, then."

Kei took off her shoes and slipped into the indoor slippers, while Yuto entered the room wearing only his socks.

Although every dorm room had the same basic layout, Kei had decorated hers with small ornaments, plush toys, and cushions.

As a result, the room had a distinctly cute atmosphere.

It also carried a fresh, pleasant scent similar to the fragrance that usually surrounded Kei.

However, Yuto noticed some messy clothes strewn across her bed—the pajamas she'd changed out of this morning. He even spotted a pair of pure white underwear...

Pure white... the color of purity and innocence. It seemed that beneath her "gyaru" exterior, Kei was, in fact, extraordinarily pure-hearted.

"!"

Kei also noticed the mess on her bed.

She hurriedly gathered everything without even folding it and stuffed the entire pile into her wardrobe.

Leaning against the closet afterward, Kei's eyes wandered guiltily.

"Yuto... I normally put away all my clothes properly!"

"I woke up late this morning, so I forgot to clean them up!"

"You don't need to explain. I understand," Yuto said with a light laugh.

No!

Kei absolutely had to explain!

She did not want Yuto thinking that she was messy and incapable of keeping her room tidy.

'I really shouldn't have invited Yuto up tonight...'

She complained inwardly.

She had no slippers prepared for him, her bed was unmade, and her clothes had been left lying around.

It was terrible!

Yuto did not think the room was particularly messy.

Aside from the bed, everything else was clean and organized.

Seeing Kei's miserable expression, he waved her over with amusement.

"Kei, come here."

"Hmm?"

Kei approached curiously.

Yuto affectionately pinched her cheek.

"Stop looking so miserable. Give me a pen. I'll copy some questions from the papers for you to answer."

"Okay~"

Kei turned around and retrieved a ballpoint pen, notebook, and the old midterm papers from her school bag.

After handing them over, she hesitated before asking shyly, "Yuto, what size slippers do you wear? I'll go downstairs and buy you a pair."

"You don't need to go through that much trouble."

"I do!"

"I don't have any drinks or snacks for guests either, so I need to buy some anyway."

"All right."

Yuto stopped arguing and told his girlfriend his shoe size.

"What color slippers do you like?"

"I don't care. Pick whichever color you want."

"Pink is okay?"

"Sure."

"Then I'll buy pink ones!"

Kei immediately brightened.

If they both had pink indoor slippers, they would almost look like a matching pair.

Yuto remained in Kei's room copying questions while she left with her phone and student ID to purchase slippers, drinks, and snacks from a nearby store.

Kei happily hummed to herself as she returned with the shopping bag.

Unfortunately, her good mood disappeared when she saw the person standing near the elevator.

Her romantic rival, Kushida Kikyo!

Kikyo noticed Kei carrying the plastic bag and greeted her with her usual little-angel smile.

"Good evening, Karuizawa-san."

"Good evening, Kushida-san."

Kei returned the greeting.

If her room had not been on the sixth floor, she might have taken the stairs just to avoid sharing an elevator with her rival.

Kikyo watched Kei, who was clearly trying to distance herself. A faint smirk played on her lips.

'That idiot still doesn't realize I've already eaten her boyfriend before her,' she thought.

The thought of having "stolen" Kei's boyfriend filled Kushida with a strange sense of pleasure.

'So satisfying.'

"Hmm?"

Kikyo pointed toward the transparent shopping bag.

"Karuizawa-san, aren't those slippers a little large for you?"

"I like wearing oversized slippers. Is there a problem?"

"Not really, but..."

Kikyo narrowed her eyes.

"Those slippers aren't actually for you, are they?"

"Is Yuto inside your room?"

'She figured that out just from the slippers?!'

Kei maintained her composure.

"Of course not!"

However well Kei concealed it, her slight change in expression could never escape Kikyo.

After all, nobody was better at hiding their true feelings than she was.

"I'll call Yuto right now and ask where he is."

Kikyo took out her phone.

Kei immediately interrupted her in embarrassment.

"Fine! Yuto is in my room!"

"Yuto is the only person there with you?"

"Yes."

"A boy and a girl alone in a room... Karuizawa-san, what are you two trying to do?!"

Kikyo really had little room to question her on that point. Does she have no idea how many times she has secretly dated Yuto in her dorm room.

Blushing, Kei shot back, "What we're doing is none of your business! Besides, Yuto and I are dating! We can do... whatever we want, right?!"

"The school rules strictly forbid students from engaging in inappropriate romantic relationship as high schoolers. So, Karuizawa-san, don't you dare corrupt Yuto," Kikyo warned with feigned seriousness.

Kikyo was even less qualified to say that... She was so utterly devoted to Yuto that she had no right to lecture anyone.

"I have no intention of corrupting Yuto. We're just studying in the room," Kei muttered.

Kikyo sneered inwardly.

'Studying? A boy and a girl alone in a room? Who's going to believe that?!'

Whenever she was in a room with Yuto, it was always cuddling, hugging, or kissing.

Studying?

As if!

With a highly skeptical attitude, Kikyo followed Kei back to her room.

Then she saw Yuto sitting there copying examination questions.

"Y-You two really are just doing this?"

Kikyo blinked and stared blankly at Yuto.

"I told you already! You just refused to believe me!" Kei complained, puffing out her cheeks.

Yuto looked helplessly at Kikyo, who had suddenly joined them.

"What else did you think we'd be doing in here, Kikyo?"

"Well... Studying, obviously."

Kikyo clasped her hands together and displayed an innocent smile.

"What else could there possibly be?"

Yuto gave his outwardly innocent girlfriend an exasperated look.

He shot a wry glance at his girlfriend—the same girl who acted so pure on the surface but was wildly reckless in private.

'How can she even say that?' he thought.

'Every time we date in the dormitory, we do everything except study.'

"Now that you've confirmed it, Kushida-san, you should leave!" Kei said without hesitation.

Kikyo did not want to leave Kei and Yuto alone, but just as she was preparing to argue, Yuto glanced at her.

The helplessness in his eyes made Kikyo fall silent.

She did not want to leave him with a bad impression, so she reluctantly gave in.

"All right. I won't disturb you two."

"Have fun~"

"We're studying! Not having fun!" Kei hurriedly corrected her.

Kikyo glanced at the flustered Kei and waved with a sweet smile.

"I'm leaving. See you both tomorrow~"

"See you tomorrow, Kikyo," Yuto replied with a smile.

Yuto was satisfied that Kikyo knew when to back down instead of creating an argument.

Kei escorted her out of the room.

Then, as though afraid Kikyo might suddenly change her mind and return, she quickly closed the door behind her.
