Ess led the way, completely unfazed by the strange looks he got from the kids in the hall. To be fair, the rest of his company wasn't bothered either. It was not unthinkable that D-dee was this bold.
Children of different ages, previously relishing in the freedom that came with lunchtime, laughing, chatting, and rummaging through their lockers, had stopped to look at the new arrivals with expressions that bordered on annoyance.
Each and every one of them, on top of donning the same expression, spotted long hair, glistening as if oiled, and made into double Dutch braids. They all spotted dead fish eyes, almost perfectly semi-circular – a model look of disinterest.
The most bizarre thing of all, however, was the fact that all their varying sets of clothing spotted polka dots of different colors and sizes. The hall, bland and grey for the most part, got a burst of color just because of this.
