CHAPTER SIXTY TWO: A MINOR ARGUMENT
"I saw what you guys wrote in Sandra's year book" I responded almost immediately Morayo asked the question
I could see the shock on their faces
"Why didn't you write me as part of your friends?" I asked them looking at both of them in the eyes "It is not even about that that I am seriously confused, it is about the fact that I saw my name as the enemy in both of your profiles in the year book" I responded expecting an answer from them
"What do you expect?" Morayo asked
"Why did you put me as the enemy? We have been friends for three whole years"
"See, it doesn mean" Morayo responded remorsefully
"What do you mean?"
"Why the hell will you be hitting on Victoria's boyfriend? Her boyfriend has been having eyes on you. The friends of John even said it, even the twin said so. She said, John likes you"
"I didn't know, I am not his heart to control. You don't have to blame it on me as if I am the one at fault"
"You are!"
"How?!"
"Remember that day he called you after the maths exam?"
AFTER MATHS EXAMS…
Everybody was as stressed as ever before. Morayo, Victoria and I were heading to the the hostel when John called me
I was surprised at first but, excused myself and went to meet him.
Morayo and Victoria waited behind since, they knew John won't take long
"Thank you!" John responded as soon as I got there and gave me a hug almost immediately
I wasn't expecting the hug
"For what?" I asked as I pushed him slightly and faced him
"For helping me in the exam hall, I forgot the formulas of shapes almost immediately in the hall and I was stranded. Just happy that you were chosen to seat beside me for exams and you helped me."
"It wasn't my intention to seat beside you, our surname just seem to clash together"
"Yeah, I know. Thank you!" he smiled
"You are welcome!" I responded with a smile "I don't want to keep my friends waiting, bye"
John left and as soon as I turned to look if Morayo and Victoria were there, they had left.

BACK TO THE PRESENT..
No wonder! No wonder they left
"You should have communicated with me instead of acting like that" I replied with a squeezed face of annoyance
"You should have told us why you hugged him"
"You should have asked me na, I didn't know that is why you two left out of annoyance" I stated and then turned to face Victoria "I expected more from you! Why will you be arguing with me over something this minor and just mention me as the enemy. That is so outrageous" I said with a nod on my head showing a sign of disappointment
"Are you blaming us now?"
"Urgh! I am not going to argue with you guys over something like this. It is so wrong!" I said as I closed my locker after taking what I want to take and left
It is annoying and painful at the same time.
Didn't expect such from them especially Victoria.
Just at the right time, I heard Daniel calling for me in the dinning hall.
I took my drink and walked towards the dinning hall to meet him. He was sitting on the window waiting for me.
Funny thing is that, since we became the only class left in school… The dining hall has been the a love garden for couples in our set.
I could see couples siting together, laughing, talking and all that. Lol!
"You wanted to see me" I said as I stood in front of him
"Yeah! Just wanted to see you fine face" Daniel said smiling
"Enough with that!" I said as I sat on the window beside him
I have already gotten closer and used to being around Daniel, he is getting matured and a fun type. He just clocked thirteen on Sunday. He got many gifts from girls, I just gave him jewelry set.
A wristwatch, ring and a necklace. They weren't that expensive. My brother bought them for me when he came visiting a day before his birthday. My brother bought them so, I can give him.
He is actually shipping Daniel and me together. Lol!
"What happened?"
"Nothing!"
"You sure?" he asked looking at me as if wanting to pull the answer from me.
"Just had a little argument with my friends"
"Who?"
"Whoelse?"
"I don't know, it can be Samuel or those girls?" he answered with a shrug
"You hear friends, with a s" I responded as I turned to look at him
"Oh…Okay. Those girls" he replied with a nod as if just remembering them and then focused on me "What happened that caused you guys fight?" he asked curiously as he focused on me.
"Umn… Just a minor issue" I answered with a shrug
"What is the minor issue?"
"It is stupid"
"What is stupid?" he asked still insisting on knowing caused the fight
I explained to him but he just looked at me and looked away. "It is minor indeed, you guys need communication. But omo, the fact that they placed you as their enemy is so diabolical" he responded with a nod
"I know, right?" I asked as I released a sigh
The issue has lifted from me since, I told Daniel. I feel okay
…
It was just like that and my friendship with them was gone.
They didn't bother to talk to me or even get me to know if they have forgiven me. I kept making my move but, they pushed me off.
There is something to it that, they really not want to talk to me. It cannot only be about the hug.
We finished junior secondary school not being friends.

Resuming for the senior class after months of holiday,
Everybody look changed, it became more matured, some became taller, chubby, handsome, beautiful and cute.
The year I have been waiting for.
