Rebirth: Reborn as the Third Master of the Woo Family

By Zorry Sunblaze

Final Episode: A New Beginning

I looked at Old Woo, the terror of his thoughts gripping me. "I thought you'd never tell us," he repeated, his face breaking into a wide, genuine smile. My world stopped. What was he saying? "Dad?" I stood up, completely lost. Everyone in the room burst into laughter, everyone except Tae and me. We were so shocked, so out of place, we felt like two soaked cats, shivering and disoriented.

"Aww, why the serious face?" It was Jiang, who came to me and gently patted my head. "We all know. We've known since the start that you are not the real Kim Woo. But that just made us love you more. You tried so hard to adjust to your new body. You loved us like your real family. You suffered in Kim Woo's place, and that made me love you so much I couldn't bear to lose you."

I stared at her, completely stunned. I had confessed the truth, bracing for rejection. I had prepared myself to comfort them if they were in shock, but I never expected the tables to turn so completely. "Since when?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper, yet in the silence of the room, they all heard me.

"Since you woke up," Hyung said casually, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. "The Kim Woo we knew would have thrown a massive tantrum if he were ever asked to stop fighting with Dad." I looked at his face on the projector screen, his smile unwavering.

"Why did you still keep me?" I asked, my mind still unable to grasp what was happening.

"Because we wanted you," Jiang said, her voice full of warmth. "From the moment you woke up and were checking yourself in the bathroom, we could hear what you were saying. You asked if your face got damaged and changed. I told the rest of the family I still wanted you. I promised I would take care of you. Even if you wanted to get back at the Tae family, we would support you. But surprisingly, you handled it yourself, and I was so proud of you." She leaned in and kissed my forehead.

"I'm so sorry, everyone. I lied to you all. I wanted to tell you, but I was scared. I was terrified you would hate me," I said, tears finally streaming down my face.

The whole family gathered around me, embracing me in a hug that felt like a lifetime of forgiveness. "Even if you didn't tell us, we would still be by your side," Grandpa Woo said. Even Tae wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into the group embrace.

Everything had ended. From this moment on, my life would be happy. I had my family back. I had reclaimed everything the Tae family took from me—everything I was supposed to inherit from my mom. My life was now complete, especially with my daughter and Tae. I had gotten so tired that I thought about giving up, but now I know I would have regretted it forever. I smiled once again and buried my head in Tae's chest.

"Too bad we're not there to join," Hyung's voice echoed from the screen, and Shinwoo's loud laughter from the screen filled the room.

A Word of Encouragement to My Readers

To anyone who has ever felt like an imposter, living in a life that isn't truly yours... to anyone who has carried a secret fear that if people knew the real you, they would walk away—this story is for you.

Remember that love isn't earned; it's a gift given freely by those who see your heart. The family in this story didn't love the character because of who he was supposed to be, but because of who he became—a person of kindness, courage, and unconditional love.

Your journey, with all its struggles and mistakes, is what makes you beautiful. Don't be afraid to show the world who you are. The people who truly belong in your life will see you, flaws and all, and they will choose you, just as the Woo family chose Kim Woo.
