Chapter 9 - chapter 9

"I assure you I'm fine," percy said sitting in the nurses office.

"Nice try," she said, running Percy's temperature again, only for it to run a 108.

Percy sighed and laid back on the nurses bed, that smelt of throw up, and a weird scent of blood.

"Rest for now, and keep this ice pack on your forehead," the nurse said, placing the ice pack on his forehead.

With a sigh Percy stared at the ceiling before his eyes closed.

....

"Hey, are you finally awake?" Percy felt someone nudge him causing him to stir.

Percy woke up to his teacher staring down at him.

"I suppose so," Percy said as he stood and dusted himself off.

"Good. Because there's some items that I need to give you, at least before I return to hunting," she said.

[Eye of a blood drunk hunter]

Percy blinked.

"Why would you give me someone's eye?" Percy asked.

"Because it's more useful for you, than for me," she said, then she hopped off the railing and Percy tracked her as she went through the city before disappearing.

...

"I swear this place is so weird," percy said collecting the first soul item in the cathedral ward.

The armor looked nice, much to Percy's pleasure. But as he was seeing which hat would suit him better, he felt shivered down his spine and moved to dodge.

...something had come down on the exact spot Percy was and sucked him up. He was pulled upward, and Percy's eyes were finally opened.

He felt his body squeeze before letting out a scream that seemed to peirce through the loud and chaotic mess of yharnam.

Meanwhile Eileen looked towards the source of the yell. She had expected the boy to find trouble, but she had only left him for mere minutes.

"I swear that child," she said as she observed the bloodied crow.

She had observed him the very moment he entered yharnam. He was her next mark, but at the moment she had been too busy worrying about Percy, to start the hunt.

For the first time, Eileen didn't hunt. She observed the man. She would deal with him later, right now her student needed her.

...

Percy awoke with a massive headache. His brain felt like it was split open, with information being drilled into his head.

His steps were wobbly as he walked forward, and he noticed he wasn't in central yharnam anymore... or he was, but a different version of it.

It was daytime surprisingly, and Percy lit the lamp, as he went outside to feel the nice warmth from the sun.

This place was different, the air tasted different. His mind opened to see the flaws of this dimension. It was the same as yharnam, but on a whole different scale.

It was like if yharnam was on crack, but there was more fighting, loud shouting and so much... death.

It was like a switch was flipped in Percy's mind. The thought of self preservation was far from his mind as he charged the nearest beast he saw.

....

Percy awoke in a medical cabin of sorts, his hand clenched the table before standing up.

"Oh you're awake," a blonde kid a few inches shorter than Percy said.

Percy tilted his head, his movements more reserved than normal. He hadn't meant to, but he had taken to being more reserved, something he hadn't meant to, but the trauma yharnam had instilled will take longer to heal from.

"Well you weren't injured but you suddenly passed out during training. You are becoming malnourished." The blonde boy said as he tried poking percy's side only for percy to unconsciously avoid it.

Percy looked down at his body, certainly he hadn't been eating much, but that didn't mean he was malnourished.

"Will by the way," the boy said, giving Percy a once over. The only thing he found fault in was his malnutrition, but otherwise he thought Percy was fit as a fiddle.

"Get going. Your councilor is training in the archery field,"Will said, waving Percy off, but not before giving him a long stare.

...

It happened slowly. With every death, Percy got just a bit colder. A lot more... ruthless, and a lot more messier.

Percy stood toe to toe with nearly any beast he met. His powers naturally make things easier for him.

So it happened when percy defeated the living failures and lit the lamp, that he gazed at the moon, and for some odd reason, Percy felt like it was staring back at him.

Percy entered the dream once more, and made his way to restock on blood vials, among other things.

Because up next would be his toughest fight yet.

A woman.

...

Percy awoke with his cabin, arriving at the mess hall but did not eat. His appetite had long since vanished ever since he entered the dream.

Nowadays Percy didn't feel much besides a rare hint of happiness. But there was an almost permanent scowl on his face, even if he didn't mean to.

Camp seemed to avoid him too, as if his mere presence caused misfortune. Which it totally did.

The only thing Percy did enjoy happened to be blacksmithing, and upgrading his weapons.

Which, when in the dream, was the saw cleaver. However when he wasn't in the dream, he used his daggers.

His calming happened when he was sitting at the table. The trident glowed, before it got corrupted, and turned into a moon.

"Hail perseus... son of poseidon," chiron said before looking at mr d for clarification.

Percy noticed their eyes silently communicating, as if this was such a big deal. Or an unusual deal.

Little did everyone know a certain moon parasite had already got her tentacles over Percy's soul.

And she will not bargain for it.
