Chapter 40 - attack of the yearling

Lin ran as fast as he could. "Be safe, be safe," he thought to himself. He didn't want the young goat to get hurt because of him. But when he returned, he realized he was still too late. The kid goat lay in the middle of the utopia, Bojo standing nearby, face filled with worries. Another goat was tending to the kid's wounds; it was May, whom Lin recognized at a glance. It was the same one that helped them when they were attacked by a dog.

Bojo soon noticed Lin. There was no smile on his face, only worry. He still cared for the kid goat, despite his complaints, because as someone who wasn't loved growing up, he saw himself in them. He doesn't want the kid goat to be bullied by others. But this time, when he returned, he found the kid goat had been attacked. 

"How are they?" asked Lin. He looked at the kid goat. They were conscious but in great pain; their expression said it all.
