Chapter 20 - First Battle Between Two Gods (2)

The void shimmered, and from it emerged the same portal — expelling both deities and the accursed orb into the empty reaches of space. The orb, once the size of a palm, shrank to that of an atom. Then, without warning, it detonated.

The explosion was silent — a cosmic bloom of annihilation that erased everything nearby. Even at a vast distance, both gods felt the shockwave rip through their divine forms. The blast could have reduced multiple Earths to dust.

Xuhuna turned toward Zigeyr, her expression fierce."You're really a madman. Do you have any idea what would've happened if I hadn't moved us?"

Zigeyr only smiled. "You prevented it. That's all that matters."

The orb was not capable of killing the Supreme Gods sleeping on Earth. But if it can destroy the Earth and that was enough to awake the Supreme quite early. Aside from destroying the only civilization left in the universe if they had awakened more early than their predetermined time, then they would be quite injured, and it would take more time to restore their strength. This incident would have greatly angered the Supreme Gods and their anger will be probably released on the Goddess Xuhuna since she was the one who started the fight and the other party was a Primordial. That was also the reason why the both gods were not fighting at their full strength, since it would destroy the humanity.

But here, there was no humanity, and they can fight with their full strength.

Zigeyr extended his hand again.Another Orb of Infinity materialized — smaller, yet far more ominous, as if the void itself recoiled from its birth.

He hurled it at her. The orb streaked through the dark like a shard of pure oblivion, colliding with Xuhuna in a blinding flash. The resulting explosion shredded nearby meteor belts into cosmic dust.

When the light faded, Xuhuna still stood. Blood traced her lips, and in her hand shimmered a weapon of cataclysmic beauty.

"World Destruction Spear," Zigeyr muttered.

He began chanting, his hands weaving divine symbols through the air. Countless chains erupted from the void, coiling around Xuhuna like serpents, tightening, sealing.

But just as the last link formed, an immense surge of destruction erupted from within her. The explosion shattered the divine chains, scattering them into fragments of nothingness.

Her spear glowed brighter — power capable of erasing galaxies pulsed through it.

"Tch," Zigeyr clicked his tongue. If only I had my Chains of Chaos… or the Chains of Void. But the first was currently sealing the Upper Universe — home of the Anomaly Beings — and the second, the Anomaly of Art.

Even without them, Zigeyr calculated every possible way to subdue the Goddess of Destruction. He needed time — but she gave him none.

She vanished, reappearing before him, thrusting her spear forward at impossible speed. Zigeyr's eyes widened. He raised both hands, divine power flaring as he tried to halt the incoming weapon.

It slowed — but didn't stop.

Xuhuna appeared beside it, gripping the shaft, forcing it forward. Her spear was her greatest weapon, the only tool capable of truly wounding a Primordial.

The tip neared his chest — a hand's breadth away.

Then Zigeyr smiled. Mocking. Cold."What a fool," he whispered.

The words had barely left his mouth before the world erupted.

Dozens of miniature orbs detonated across Xuhuna's body — explosions so immense they tore her divine vessel apart, scattering her essence through the void. Her spear dissolved with her.

Silence followed.

Then — light. Far away, a new form began to coalesce. Xuhuna reformed, pale and trembling, her complexion sickly. Sweat gleamed upon her brow.

For lower beings, as long as their body got destroyed, that would be the end of them. Then their soul will be reincarnated in a different body without any previous memories. The soul would also be not conscious in their soul form. But for a god and higher beings, the body is just like a house they live in. If it got destroyed, then they will just build a new one, it doesn't matter to them. Any injury on their body will heal in seconds. What matters to them is their soul. If their soul got destroyed, then they will truly die. What's more horrifying is that once their soul died, then there would be no next life or reincarnation. That will be the end. Injuries on their soul are also very hard for gods to heal, though for Supreme Gods, it's not that hard.

But right now, after awakening, their souls are not at their peak and so to have the body destroyed and the soul to be left without any protection is the biggest risk a Supreme can have right now. The same thing happened to Goddess Xuhuna and if the Zigeyr wanted then he could have injured her greatly if not killed her.

Xuhuna's eyes hardened. She could not afford another such attack.

Then she froze.

Floating before Zigeyr were dozens of new Orbs of Infinity, each humming with dreadful power. The smile on his face had not faded.

Xuhuna's breath hitched — the realization dawning that this Primordial could conjure destruction limitlessly.
