The massive jaw of a black snake was waiting for him.
Its fangs were large enough to pierce mountains, and its open mouth swallowed the surrounding space as it lunged towards him.
Himmel barely had time to react before the creature's jaws snapped shut.
He immediately raised his hand. A blinding light erupted from his palm.
The black snake's head was engulfed in golden flames, and its enormous body was thrown backwards.
However, before Himmel could follow up, the creature twisted in the air and disappeared into a cloud of black smoke.
A moment later, the smoke gathered above the horizon.
A gigantic serpent emerged from it.
Its body stretched across the sky, so enormous that its scales resembled mountains.
Two red eyes stared down at Himmel, and the darkness surrounding it spread like an endless ocean.
Aposis.
As the sun had already been destroyed, the primordial serpent was finally free from the chains of the black sea.
