The group went down the somewhat creepy staircase, the torches illuminating it lightly. It looked exactly like those you would see in a horror movie. The tunnel was perfectly preserved. Yet despite that there were still some cracks here and there, but their placement was too perfect.
Harry turned to Helga with an amused expression "You have some strange hobbies" he said intentionally pointing at the cracks
Helga just laughed, like an old man laughing heartly "So you noticed it huh? I did those on purpose, when I my students helped me build this place they were always scared to come down here. The memory of this place was wiped from their minds after the ritual. But it was still amusing to see those moments"
"Same old Helga" Salazar shook her head. He was the master of Dark Magic among the four of them. But Helga had the darkest humor. Gallows humor.
She once transfigured a few skeletons from rocks and made them fall from the ceiling during a scary night in the castle. He still remembered being baffled hearing student's screams echoing through the hallways.
Harry chuckled, this woman sure was wicked when she was alive, a true Witch.
Hope just frowned. She had enough of pranks, those two twins were a pain in the ass. She hoped this year they would learn their lesson and leave her and Harry alone.
At the end of the stairway there was a big door. Harry opened the door and was greeted by a bright light. It was a big space underneath, it was high enough to fit full grown trees. Near the opening of the room there were several tables. Some of them had little pots with plants. On others there were several books. Next to those tables were bookshelves.
There were also several potion stations. But to Harry they looked.. primitive.
"I see" Harry nodded understanding what this place was. it was an artificial green house. The room was brightly lit by some crystals in the ceiling. There were several plants and trees scattered around.
Helga clearly used this room to research plants. Most likely valuable and rare plants. Surprisingly Harry barely recognized a third of them. 'Must be her own crossbreed. Impressive, I can't tell at all what was the original plant. And then using these plants to push the boundaries of potions.'
"So what do you think" Helga put her hands on her hips and looked at the whole group with a smug look on her face. She had never shown them this after all.
"Well done" "Impressive"
Salazar and Rowena complimented her. They knew just how far Helga went for her craft. They could see many things in this room. Rituals and Runes both of their respective crafts. Used to further her own, everything in this room from the lights, to the water and soil was made for growing the plants. Even the wood that she used to burn under her big cauldron for potions. Helga like them was a pioneer of her time, testing the limits of what she could do constrained with her current knowledge and materials.
Godric just shrugged " What's so impressive about plants and potions?"
This was not Godric being condescending or undermining her craft. The man was a barbarian at his core. He was a genius at Transfiguration. But also a simpleton, he was a fighter not a thinker. In battle he was unmatched. In battle he would go slash down enemies with his sword while animated golems and beast would tear anything around him.
His golems required delicate work to animate them to withstand a long battle, yet the man did it as easy as breathing. An idiot born with talent for transfiguration unmatched in his generation.
He could never understand the passion of his friends. He never thought or tried to push the boundaries of his magic. He did what was needed, it came easy to him. Even when it was time to create Hogwarts. He was a womanizer and an alcoholic, he enjoyed his life and it was also the cause of his death. Killed by his own son after he slept with his daughter in law.
The other three ghosts deadpanned at him all sharing the same thought. Godric was still an idiot. All of them knew how important plants and potions were. Except for this buffoon. He never got injured before so he couldn't appreciate how useful potions were. All three of them had their special crafts, and they took them seriously and constantly strived to improve.
While this manwhore was only thought about wine, women and fighting. It was a wonder they were even friends at all.
' It is impressive. but i doubt any of them would have even come near Rowena's invention. Even if the woman had help, she made a functional primitive copy of Innovation Clear. A Sacred Gear crafted by God. Her intelligence was beyond those of her collogues, but also a curse.
The more intelligent you are the more you see the world for what it is, especially in the current times. Back then Rowena was basically surrounded by warmongering monkeys. ' Harry mused as he watched their interactions.
Four very different people with different personalities and crafts. Managed to strike a friendship and then created the only magical school on the continent. An academic step by step on how young wizards and witches could master their magic rather than the specialized teachings of their clans, tribes and families which left a lot out of their education.
"Cool, lets get this over with"
In such a big space with many plant species and equipment it would take a long time to take it back peace by peace. So Harry decides to take it all. Literally...
He locked the entire space and moved it into a trunk.
"How is this possible" Salazar said with wonder in his tone. This wasn't just creating an expanded place inside a trunk and then decorating it. This was moving one space into another.
"You had this specially prepared" Rowena commented as she examined the large metal box Harry pulled out and the runes inscribed on it. This box was prepared for this exact purpose.
Harry scoffed "Of course I did. How am I supposed to steal something that can't be moved? The answer is just shove the whole space in a box."
Helga sweat dropped. She did say she was going to give him everything. But the methods of this child.. wasn't he a bit too prepared to steal something..
'As expected of Harry. So that's why he has been reading those book about space magic' Hope smiled as she stuffed a whole palm of popcorn in her mouth. Special popcorn that she saved for just this occasion. Butter made form mutated cows, special sea salt and the best corn. All to make a better experience while she watches her drama show.
"Done" Harry isolated the space and linked it to the very big metallic box. "Now everybody outside." he said casually but he picked up box with one hand and Hope with the other and started to quickly run up the stairs.
The ghosts looked at each other in confusion before a look of realization appeared in their faces. They quickly scrambled as they ran after him. Especially Rowena.
Unlike the rest of her collogues she had a better idea of what was about to happen. And even if they were dead, such violent ripping of space might affect the soul. Harry can't intentionally harm them due to the contract that is formed when someone uses the Resurrection Stone.
But if they are stupid enough to stand when space is violently ripped apart and stuffed into a metal box. Then that is on them, all of them cursed Harry's name in their minds.
Just when they got out the ground started to shake. The little pebbles and rocks on the ground barely touched the earth before they were flung up in the air.
"Come to Papa!" Harry grinned as a maniac as he yanked the space towards the metal box. The space folded leaving behind an empty cube shaped cave with a strange slide entrance.
Harry took it all, the stairs as well because he was too lazy to make new ones in the metal box.
"I may have made a mistake with my decision to leave my workshop with you" Rowena glared at Harry. The odds of something happening to them was low. But that didn't mean it was impossible. They were already dead, but what if they were trapped in that space while it was being folded and ripped. They most likely wouldn't be harmed, but if they were trapped in a cycle of space folding for eternity. They would go insane even if they are dead.
"Too little too late." Harry grinned at her causing Salazar to laugh. Even if he was slightly pissed off, this was exactly the kind of heir he would want. Intelligent, Bold, Powerful and most importantly, he had the Ambition to push magic forward.
"Hope can you stay here while my clone arrives. I won't be able to teleport this, or apparated with it. So I'm going to have to haul it back to the manor the old fashioned way"
'Sigh, drama's over.' Hope put away her popcorn and pouted at Harry who just pinched her cheeks. "Don't get cheeky with me. This stuff is important, and my clone should be here in five minutes. So its not like you will miss anything"
Hope then realized something "Wait, how exactly is your clone going to bring it back" Harry said old-fashioned, that can be interoperated in a few different ways.
"I'm going to launch it out of a cannon" Harry smiled at Hope while she deadpanned. Harry was crazy, but not that crazy.
Harry just sighed seeing that she wasn't taking the bait 'She knows me too well' "I'm going to drive it back. What else"
Hope turned back to the one meter cube metal box. "You are going to drive that back to our house?"
"In a truck Hope. You know the ones I use to transport the Pots since they can't be moved with magic"
"Ohhh" Hope honestly forgot about that part. It was such a minor thing. Of course Harry had a logistics division that moves his pots via trucks from the factory. ' Maybe I should rest. Harry told me about it and I just forgot. I'm his magical assistant. He has other people to handle logistics'
"Though its not the big trucks. This is a pick up truck from the warehouse. The one my people use to get around and buy stuff for me. Anyway its only a going to take a few minutes. My clone is going to teleport himself with the entire car here. See ya in a bit'
Harry left with the ghosts leaving Hope alone in the Forbidden forest with the metal cube. Hope looked around the forest before sighing 'He is an idiot. How is he going to drive out of here?'
A few minutes later she found her answer. Harry did arrive with a pick up truck. Except on the front there was a big metal bumper that was designed to ram and push things on it there was a giant praying mantis with sharp claws that looked like blades. Hope instantly understood what Harry was planning. He was going to cut and bulldoze his way out of the forest.
'I'm done'

"Why are you going back in the castle?" Salazar asked the young boy with a raised eyebrow
"Because that's where the entrance is. Duh"
Salazar stopped walking and pointed in a certain direction "The nearest entrance is fifty meters that way"
Harry stopped at looked at the old man "Say what now?"
