Zhongli watched as Xie, the God of Evil, gave a silent nod to Shang Liang, Goddess of Kindness, and Sheng Ming, Goddess of Life.
Without words, they understood. The goddesses moved quickly, each grasping one of the fallen — Asura and Poseidon — before vanishing in a flicker of divine light. The teleportation left behind only faint ripples in the air.
But Zhongli had noticed it — the malice lingering in Asura and Poseidon's departing gazes.
He said nothing. If they returned seeking conflict again… he would not show mercy.
Only Xie and Hui Nie, the God of Destruction, remained.
Xie stepped forward with a disarming smile.
"Friend, we didn't mean for this to escalate. We came to investigate something… nothing more."
Zhongli inclined his head, calm and composed.
"I understand. You likely came sensing the remnants of the Dragon God's energy."
Hui Nie's brows furrowed.
"So he is still alive... even after burning out his life flame?"
Zhongli nodded, his voice steady.
"Yes. He exists in spiritual form. His mind was fragmented, but I've cured him of his madness."
The weight of those words hit both gods hard. Eyes widened. Hui, ever cautious, pressed further."So he's… sane again?"
Zhongli sensed their unease and addressed it plainly."You don't need to worry. He doesn't seek revenge. He has no intention of returning. In fact, he believes himself too stained by the blood of his children to face the world again."
That silenced them.
The Dragon God — once the most feared being in all realms — now carried such regret that he chose exile over rebirth.
Both Xie and Hui let out slow, thoughtful breaths. The truth of Zhongli's words resonated with them. There was no deception, no hidden malice. Only solemnity.
They were relieved.
A return of the Dragon God would have risked everything. Especially if the other party was still insane.
Then, Zhongli added, almost gently:
"But… he does have one wish left."
Xie and Hui turned to him with renewed attention.
"He wishes for the Soul Beast Clan to be spared… to not be hunted to extinction."
That request settled heavily between them.
Xie glanced at Hui. A silent exchange passed. Both gods, tempered by countless centuries of war and duty, seemed to arrive at an unspoken consensus.
Xie finally replied."There's no issue with that. But the Soul Beasts must understand — we didn't start the war. And we didn't destroy the Dragon God as their myths say."
Zhongli gave a small nod."I understand. I'll make sure they know the truth. I'll do my best to mediate."
There was a long pause before Xie asked:
"What should we call you?"
Zhongli gave a soft, knowing smile.
"Zhongli."
Then, with a shimmer of golden light, he vanished.
As Zhongli vanished from the realm of gods, his form reappeared in the Douluo Continent, standing silently beneath the ancient trees of the Star Dou Forest.
The moment his feet touched the ground, the mark of the Dragon God on his body glowed faintly—like a ripple echoing through space and time.
Thousands of meters away, deep beneath the waters of the Lake of Life, a pair of ancient violet eyes snapped open.
A colossal silver dragon, its body covered in gleaming oval-shaped scales that shimmered like stars, stirred. It was more than 5,000 meters long, exuding a majestic, awe-inspiring aura. The creature lifted its head, its eyes full of ancient wisdom and piercing clarity.
With a surge of mental power, it let out a telepathic command, echoing across the forest:"Awaken."
The Top Ten Fierce Beasts, legendary spirit beasts with over 200,000 years of cultivation, stirred from their slumber. One by one, they shot through the forest like comets, converging at the Lake of Life.
Upon arrival, they all dropped to their knees in reverence, their heads lowered before the sacred waters.
From the center of the lake, a translucent figure began to form — her silver hair cascading like moonlight, her violet eyes serene yet piercing. Though she bore an ethereal glow, her beauty was arresting, otherworldly. Mature, elegant, and powerful — a goddess among beasts.
This was the Silver Dragon King, the final consciousness and form of the Dragon God's original power.
Among those kneeling was a tall, imposing man cloaked in black robes with golden embroidery. His eyes glowed with a deep golden hue, and a single strand of golden hair fell from his otherwise black mane. His presence radiated dominance and command.
This was Di Tian, the leader of the Ten Great Savage Beasts — and the strongest spirit beast known to the world.
He stepped forward respectfully, his voice resonant."My Lord, has something happened to awaken you? Are you… healed?"
The Silver Dragon King shook her head, her voice soft but solemn."No. My wounds are far from healed. It will take at least ten thousand more years before I can fully recover."
A wave of sorrow passed through the gathered beasts.
But then, her tone changed, infused with purpose."Di Tian… I sensed the mark of the Dragon God. It is here. In this forest."
Shock rippled through the assembly like a storm.
Di Tian's eyes gleamed, disbelief and excitement flashing across his face.
"You're certain, My Lord?"
She nodded slowly."It is faint, but unmistakable. The legacy of our creator… his mark… it lies at the edge of the forest."
Her gaze sharpened."Find whoever bears it. But listen closely — do not provoke them. I can feel it… this is no ordinary individual. Whoever it is, they possess power far beyond what you can comprehend."
Di Tian clenched his fist and bowed his head.
"As you command, My Lord."
With that, he took off, his figure vanishing into the trees like a black shadow streaking toward the Dragon God's presence.
The Silver Dragon King, still hovering above the lake, whispered to herself."Let us hope… that whoever bears this mark… can help us change fate."
[A/N:I plan to make the MC take students like Chen Xin, Dugu Bo, Yang Wudi and later on Zhu zhuqing, Ning Rongrong,Shui Bing'er, Shui Yue'er and Feng Xiaotian. So I need suggestions on what to teach them, I had some ideas like along with some cultivation techniques maybe Armament Haki, Observation Haki, Flash Step(Shunpo)..etc.
Also Tang San's eye technique is pretty good, but other than Observation Haki. Add in Yan Sen has Biological Manipulation, so can manipulate and change structures at the cellular and macro-quantum level at will. so giving someone Sharingan or others is easy for him.]
