Grace sat comfortably on his shoulder, her tiny legs dangling as she glanced around the corridor with quiet curiosity.
"Are you sure that nobody can see you?" Lackey asked, turning his head slightly to look at her.
Grace nodded calmly. "Since I'm only a manifestation, I can link myself to your domain. That way, my presence will remain hidden from everyone except you."
Lackey raised an eyebrow. "And why exactly would you want to do that?"
The last thing he wanted was for her to witness his private activities, especially when it came to his more questionable plans.
Having someone constantly watching over his shoulder was the last thing he needed.
