Tilting her head slightly, she looked at her in puzzlement.
She was very, very afraid of this person, a fear that came instinctively from her body. Yet, this person was different from the others.
There were people who took care of her, people who called her "Your Highness," and their gazes were peculiar. At first, many of them had tears in their eyes, as if just a glance at her would make them cry. Later, they stopped crying but began to sigh, as though seeing her reminded them of something bad, always seeming regretful.
She couldn't understand such emotions, nor could she grasp those complex feelings.
But she knew the person called the Eighth Princess was bad. Every time she came to see her, she'd always say strange things and even hit her.
