A Heavenly Demon avatar? Is this the true purpose of the Demon Lord of the Skies?
Previously, the Demon Lord of the Skies wouldn't have concerned itself with a newly advanced Nascent Soul period cultivator; a Great Heavenly Demon should have been the one to appear.
The commotion from Jia Ren's advancement to the Body Integration Realm wasn't insignificant, leading the Demon Lord of the Skies to consider taking him as an avatar.
This was trouble brought on by talent too extraordinary.
Only during a Heavenly Demon Tribulation afflicting a Mahayana Stage Cultivator does the Demon Lord of the Skies appear. Even Mahayana Stage Cultivators face the risk of perishing against such an entity. This was even more true for a newly advanced Nascent Soul period cultivator, who lacked the ability to resist the Demon Lord of the Skies. The outcome was obvious.
Either submit to the Demon Lord of the Skies and become its avatar, or perish in both body and Dao. There was no third path.
