The space scroll is tantamount to the highest energy scroll of the Demon Race. Without this scroll, the Demon Emperor can never become the Demon Emperor.
After the Dragon Emperor cleared the Demonic Prison Secret Realm, he was still the Flame Demon Emperor, not yet truly the Dragon Emperor. Why take the space scroll? Had he already decided to become the Dragon Emperor back then, decided to betray the Demon Race?
It shouldn't be; the Flame Demon Emperor loved the entire Demon Race, his foundation started with the Demon Race, otherwise, he wouldn't have established the Flame Demon Empire.
