With a new glint in his eyes and renovated vigor, Talvir began to think about his next course of action.

'My Aspect gives me nothing to work with. Maybe if I could find a church or some other holy place I could learn something, afterall, the description does state that an evoker is a type of clergyman. What would I be able to learn, I honestly have no idea but anything is better than nothing'

'Let's work under the assumption that my Aspect is absolutely dysfunctional since it would be rather improbable to find a holy site, therefore the only thing I can bet on right now would be my Attributes. The fact of the matter is that I, maybe, tunnel visioned on my Aspect since it is considered the most important and impactful thing, but thinking about it rationally my Attributes did sound good or at least interesting.'

Willing his runes into existance, Talvir focused on his Attributes this time, trying his best to ignore his useless Aspect.

***

[Blade Sense] Attribute Description: For you using swords just makes sense. The very essence of your soul truly resonates with that statement.

[Mark of Divinity] Attribute Description: You bear a faint scent of divinity, as though someone briefly touched by it once, a long time ago.

[Flowing Soul] Attribute Description: Your soul is abnormal, being only able to be described as uniquely amorphous and everchanging. Beings with unique souls have always existed, always being an omen for changing times.

***

"Hmmm."

'Maybe I am not as fucked as I thought.'

'Alright, first thing I need to do is get a sword, no doubts about it, just the description implies that I have talent and I need a weapon to survive the Nightmare anyways.'

'[Mark of Divinity] suggests that I was touched by something divine in the past, which correlates with my Aspect being related in some ways to the Gods. In my Aspect Description it said that they went silent being unresponsive to the evokers' calls, so I will just assume they are not going to respond to me either since it describes me as wretched. So I will just ignore this Attribute for now.'

'Lastly, I dont know what to make of [Flowing Soul]. The first part of the description is the only thing that actually tells me something about how the Spell would describe my soul but I do not know how souls work. If I take the description literaly and guess about what the hell it actually does, I would say that it makes my soul hard to hit or damage since something amorphous has no fixed shape, but, do souls have a shape? Can you hit or harm a soul? I honestly have no clue. The second part also does not help much, 'being an omen of changing times' is not particularly descriptive about something positive or negative, and being unique falls under the same position.'

"Huh. Its kinda funny when I think about it, [Blade Sense] and [Flowing Soul] are more related to me and my soul rather than [Mark of Divinity] which I believe I got from [Wretched Evoker]. Maybe I am wrong and is the other way around, but at this point does it really matter?"

With the goal of acquiring a weapon, Talvir surveyed his surroundings. After coming from the hole in the wall behind him, he faced a daunting at least 20-meter drop to the crashing waves—the sole audible presence in this environment, overpowering all other sounds. The narrow ledge he stood upon offered only one path aside from retreating into darkness: a dingy, crooked trail that meandered upward along the cliff's face.

Once again with no other option than to move forward, Talvir embarked on the ascent using the dingy, crooked trail that snaked up the cliff face which seemed to be at least double the hight of the possible fall. Each step demanded careful precision, the rugged path presenting a rather abnoxious obstacle, the trail seemed to be rather unused for what Talvir believed to be a rather deep mining corridor, with sharp rocks constantly cutting the bottom of his feet. As he slowly progressed, the crashing waves below seemed to amplify, a constant reminder of the height he was conquering and where he would end up if he were to fall.

The journey was long and tedious, but Talvir was close to the summit, step by step he went up the last slope of the trail and as he reached the top, what greeted him was the same sight as the one he dreamed about just hours earlier, the shadowy silhouette of what he now realized was a enormous willow eclipsing the giant ever close moon. The tree was good 200-meters away from him but as the only land mark he could see in the dark night he made his way towards it.

Talvir was exhausted, walking in the dark for hours followed the by the roller coaster he experienced with his runes and the following multiple hour steep ascent had left him absolutely out of energy. On the way towards the willow he stumbled multiple times on the rocks hidden by the darkness the tree's shadow, they were rather light, rolling or budging out of the way after he stumbled on them. They rather cold to the touch in the brief contact Talvir made with them just like the grass underneath his feet. When he finally made it to the willow he sat down and laid back on the bark of the giant tree, the night was at a pleasant temperature, reminecent of a summer night, which aided greatly in lulling him to sleep.

'I guess its summer here, I never though the Nightmare Spell had seasons. I genuinely wonder if the beasts here also adapt to the climat. Honestly, what am I thinking about right now? I am in a life or death situation and I have time to think if what I will fight changes fur depending on seasons. Have I lost my mind.'

And with that last thought Talvir fell into a peaceful slumber.
