Ting Lake is the largest inland lake within Beijing.
Vast and misty, its waters span two hundred square kilometers, reflecting the sunlight and giving rise to steam and rosy clouds, akin to a fairyland.
In the middle of Ting Lake lies an isolated island of over thirty square kilometers. It is covered in clusters of mountains, each with distinct features. Upon the highest peak sits an ancient-style villa.
This is the Ting Lake Villa.
Here resides the Zhao family, a Martial Dao lineage that has persisted for over a thousand years.
Originally, the Ting Lake Villa was visible to outsiders and considered a rather fine scenic spot. Although ordinary people could not truly enter, many tourists still stopped by the lakeside to gaze from afar and take photographs as souvenirs.
However, starting two years ago, a dense white fog suddenly enveloped the entire Ting Lake, rendering it completely inaccessible to common folk.
