"GRrhgh".

He staggered, clutching at his shoulder.

He couldn't feel the blood, nor see its color.

But based on the amount of space missing between two patches of flesh on his shoulder, he imagined that the cut was deep enough to cut blood.

He was immediately alerted as he felt the ephemeral beast's claws tear through his skin.

Although he couldn't be absolutely sure, given where he was, it was quite obvious what the beast was.

It was a wolf.

He didn't need eyes to know it.

The sound of teeth, the memory of jaws clamping into him—it was etched into his very being.

His lips peeled back in a grin, humorless and thin. "So that's what this is."

Thor's jaw clenched. So this is it… my fear.

"You…" His voice sharpened, although, because no sound could travel in this space, only his thoughts heard his words.

"…You're the wolf from back then, aren't you? The one that took my sight."
