"If you're here for an apology, forget it—you're not getting one," Elinor yelled from her glass cell as she saw her father return with Major Bennett.
Prince ignored the rantings of his willful daughter. Passing her cell, he stopped in front of the adjacent cell. When its glass door opened, he calmly stepped inside, much to Elinor's shock and disbelief. She snapped out of her astonishment when she heard the door shut tightly behind him, locking her father inside.
"Major, what the heck is going on?" Elinor asked Bennett with a frown. She was concerned about her father, but not enough to admit it or show it. What worried her more was that, with her grandfather missing and now her father locked up, the McSuile family's peaceful days were likely over.
"Sigh," Major Bennett let out a deep breath before explaining, "The base's system has been hacked. We're just following protocol. Don't worry—he'll be released once he's cleared of all suspicion."
