Chapter 1 - The Hidden Heir

In the opulent halls of the royal castle of Britannia, where the very air whispered of power and prestige, I, Juli, moved silently as a shadow. But don't be fooled by the graceful curves of the corridors or the glimmering chandeliers casting dancing light on the marble floors; within these walls, I was no princess.

"At fifteen, I should have been studying history or practicing courtly etiquette. Instead, I found myself relegated to the lowliest of positions: a mere housemaid in the grandest estate of the realm. How did I, a girl of humble origins, come to dwell among the aristocracy, scrubbing floors and polishing silver? Ah, that's a tale as intricate and tangled as the threads of fate itself."

In the year 1750, amidst the resplendent halls of the Britannian castle, jubilant cheers echoed jubilantly as news spread of the birth of the King's first daughter. The King himself abandoned his throne and hurried through the gleaming corridors to behold his newborn child. Yet, amid the joyous clamor, a note of sorrow hung heavy in the air—the Queen's countenance betrayed her anguish.

"My love, what troubles you?" the King inquired, cradling the infant girl against his chest. But as his gaze met the child's eyes, his expression darkened, morphing from one of jubilation to one of profound dismay. "The eye... You cheated on me, didn't you?" His accusation pierced the silence, sending shockwaves through the room.

"Guards, take her away! This woman is nothing but a disgrace," the King declared, his voice resonating with anger. As the Queen was dragged away, her naked form displayed before the kingdom, the King stood beside her, denouncing her infidelity to the assembled crowd. "She will face justice for her betrayal. Take her to the dungeon and feed her like the dog she is!"

Amidst the chaos, a stranger approached, holding the newborn princess. "And what of the child?" they dared to inquire.

"Send her to her mother," the King spat, his fury unabated.
