Chapter 331 - Last Fractured Connection

Cold air bit at his face as he strode toward the dark shape.

It was a military spaceship meant for a unit of four soldiers.

Instead of directly knocking on the door, he let his spiritual energy roll outward in a tight wave, wrapping the vehicle in an invisible net.

There was no movement inside, and no heartbeat either.

Cautiously, he pulled the hatch open.

As expected, the cockpit was empty.

Gulping down his fear, Ren slipped inside, fingers brushing against the faintly humming controls.

A quick check of the instruments revealed that the craft was still trying to run on its automatic return protocol, but the magnetic disturbance bleeding from the rock walls had stalled it here, frozen mid-escape.

His gaze swept the compartment. On the floor lay a scattering of crushed ampoules and a fine residue clinging to the seats.

He picked one up, sniffed, and grimaced. It was a sedative potent enough to drop trained soldiers in seconds.
