Chapter 100 - The Old Marshal

Kael had been staying at the Imperial Palace for almost half a year. Of course, he had never actually set foot in the palace itself. He had only wandered around the settlement surrounding it. He had spent these six months in the areas assigned to General Loukan. He had never been anywhere else in the palace except places like the cafeteria and the arena.

Now, however, he was going to a different part of it.

He was leaving General Loukan's territory, moving towards that of someone higher in rank, with Hakon showing him the way.

To say he wasn't nervous would be one of the biggest lies he had ever told in his life. They had planned so much in Hakon's office, focused so much on the meeting, that he inevitably found himself in this state.

'Stay calm, don't let your nervousness show.'

He took a deep breath to relax.
