"Ainsley, we must move past the grievances of the past," Daedric said. "Sullivan has no desire to cause us trouble. If anything, we are the ones who have been cruel to him all these years. Even Roswell has come to see reason, why can't you? Father granted that territory to Sullivan because he proved his worth."
Ainsley rubbed his brow with lingering resentment. "Sullivan threatened me only a week ago, Brother Daedric. He talked about exposing me. I am certain he whispered poison into Father's ear, which is exactly why Father spoke to me with such disdain a few days ago."
"Father spoke to you that way because you acted behind his back," Daedric stated, refusing to indulge his brother's paranoia. "You were given a position of trust, and you squandered it for your own selfish motives. You have no one to blame but yourself."
