Chapter 97 - Chapter 1 (The New Beginning)

The sun started coming up on the sky, filling the gaps and absence of darkness on the dark ground and the sky started changing its color slowly, from black dark to the orange as the sun appeared. The sunlight fell on my eyes by passing throughout the window and I opened my eyes, smiled and finally woke up. The new day was beautiful as always it, but suddenly a hand fell on me and I looked next, and my little sister was still sleeping peacefully and I just smiled, happy to see her.

I covered her with my own blanket and finally jumped from my bed and started walking to get ready. I opened the wooden door and slowly closed the door, not disturbing her sleep and I finally looked at my wooden a little bit poor house and called, "Grandpa, grandma, should I cut some of the woods? You said that you are going to sell them so I think I should cut some more."

But there was no reply, which surprised me...it has been ten years since my little sister and I are living with them and they would usually reply or say yes or no most of the times or at least would give some reply or something. The silence couldn't be digested, and I called them again but no reply once again, I smiled with a sweat, of course I won't be afraid if they both would be dead, I never felt grief for anyone's death and they had already passed their 70...and I started sweating more, what am I even thinking? I sighed, I can never be serious was sure of mine and I just called them once again and started walking towards their room.

Still no reply, I smiled and opened the door and there was no one. I would just close the door and continue searching them but I just entered in their room for the first time and as expected what I felt, at the table there was a letter left, it was smelling like of my grandfather and I took a deep breath, and finally realizing...something even worst than grief feeling would jump on my head, but I won't mind anyways.

I took the letter, get out of the room and closed the door and apologized, "I am sorry for entering in your room, I never did but this was the first and the last time, I won't repeat the mistake ever again. I apologize." And I just started walking away.

I came back to our bedroom and my little sister was awake, sitting and rubbing her eyes, still looking sleepy and I smiled, kept the letter aside and picked up her on my shoulders and she kept her head on my back and greeted, "Good morning...big brother..."

"Good morning Eve, wanna brush your teeth or do you want to take some more rest?"

Eve was still sleepy but she just replied, "I...want to get ready..."

Eve, my little sister, I don't know who she actually is...or maybe I know, I don't know but since she was born, many things had changed. But I didn't leave her, she was always my own responsibility. She's disabled from birth, she can't walk and her legs doesn't works so most of the time she would be on my shoulders wandering, but whatever she is, she's a nice girl.

I made her sit on a seat and we both brushed our teeth and I gave her the clothes and she changed it and I picked her up again, she was finally ready and I made her sit back on the bed and she lied down again and started her laziness and she was sleepy once again. I just smiled and I finally picked up the letter once again and finally opened the letter.

The ink smelled new, so of course it's the new one, and I started reading the letter in my mind and didn't moved my lips to read it, I really don't want her to hear anything about it. Eve had fallen asleep once again and I blinked my eyes once and finally started reading.

"From your grandparents, Ichiro,

This letter is just to tell you...we can't handle it anymore, we are leaving you and Eve now. We have taken care of her for more than a decade, but we can't handle it anymore...we also deserved to live a better life, and we are going to join our child. There's nothing to explain you, just take care of Eve or whatever you want...I hope we would get a chance to see you both, but if not, then it's the last goodbye, I hope you both would make a survival. All the best.

And as expected...even they left us. I closed the letter and left it on the table and looked at asleep Eve. I smiled, but I already knew that one day or another they will be also sold by greed and will abandon Eve and me, like our parents did ten years ago.

The little wooden house doesn't means that my former family was poor, even my parents were a noble and so were our grandparents. I was born around sixteen years ago, and I also had a twin sister who took all the eyes...because she was considered as one of the Gods of all the worlds and universes, but on the other hand I was considered as a normal child. As she had got all the attention, my own parents considered me as a servant, I grew with some of the servants of the mansion, life was still good. My sister was sent to Academy by the age of 6, but I never cared about it that she was considered as a Legend and one of the strongest students at the Academy of Magic and Swords. I still didn't care...until Eve was born, ten years ago when I was also of 6. My whole family was frozen and couldn't accept that the third child they got...was born disabled, they considered this as a curse and couldn't accept that Eve is their own child. They choose to abandon her, they were going to kick her out and let her die somewhere in the forest, but my grandparents denied for it...because they had humanity by that time, they believed that a child is only a child, they decided to take care of her, but for that they had to pay a big amount, the bet was if they want to take care of her, then they will have to leave luxury and live a normal life somewhere far from the real world. But they accepted it, and with Eve they started leaving, and in that my father even kicked me out, because he believed that if one trash is leaving then why to stop for the second one, but again...do you all really think that I would care? The servants knew me very well that I won't have any problem, because I never had with any ever. I also joined my grandparents and left the mansion, taking the responsibility of Eve as being her big brother and I also left.

But now...I guess my grandparents are sold. Once they left the mansion, my parents started calling them back, leaving me and Eve, because they had a huge name as being a noble person. They hesitate to leave us, my father was even ready to give a huge amount but our grandparents just wanted to add me and Eve back to the mansion as the family...they denied, but after ten years they finally accepted the order of their child, my parents, and they would have ran away back to the mansion, maybe missing the luxury which was of their own? But I never expected more or less from it, I knew one day would come, but now the question was...what should I do now? I think I can sell wood and try to leave the house with Eve and go to city for better opportunities...maybe my mind already made me so mature that I am thinking that, it was funny...

Yes...this is me...Ichiro, who can survive all alone and doesn't needs help from others...I really think that I have a very bad attitude by all this...never relied on anyone and still thinks that I will still find a way to live and continue life and also take care of my little sister...

"Big bro.." Eve called me and I sat properly, looking at her and she woke up again and straight her arms towards me and said, "...Let's go out...grandpa would may want more woods?"

Eve...definitely thinks like me. I smiled and picked her up on my shoulders and started taking her outside.

The royal luxury door at the mansion opened and she called, "Grandfather! Grandmother!" And there were actually my grandparents sitting on a sofa in their luxurious noble uniform and looked at the girl and smiled. The girl ran to them and hugged them.

"It's really been a long time, ten whole years since I saw you, how are you both doing?"

The grandparents smiled and patted on the girl's head and said, "Indeed long time no see, Emi. We were just on a huge work, but now, we just kept everything aside and came back, anyways, how are you doing?"

I was chopping the woods and Eve was sitting on one and the butterfly sat on Eve's hand and she smiled. "Big brother, what is this called?"

I looked at it, and it was a black butterfly and I smiled and answered smoothly, "It's a butterfly, just don't try to hold them or eat them, they are poisonous, but if they are sitting on you then don't hold them, still, you may kill them."

And by just speaking too much, the butterfly and Eve smiled with a sweat and said, "Butterfly? Looks like a moth we saw last night."

"They may look same but they aren't."

Eve sighed, "You say so much big bro...you were saying to not hold them."

"I meant that hold them, like holding something by two fingers and squeezing them, they will die."

Eve looked at me with a sweat, "I know that, never hold any creature which are too much small like insects. They may die."

I smiled with a sweat, "Then I apologize for speaking so much...just trying to teach you as much I could about everything."

Eve smiled and looked up at the sky. She nodded her head saying yes, she knew that as well and the silence covered the place again and I started collecting the pieces of the wood.

Emi smiled, sitting on the front seat in front the grandparents...she's my sister, the one, the God. The grandparents smiled, looking at her, and they were kind of feeling proud that it's their family where one God had taken place. The whole family respects them all because of that and even some cities gave themselves to them, to the noble because she's a God.

"So how's your studies at the Academy going on, Emi?" And Emi smiled with a sweat, and said, "Still standing no chance against Ichiro, and the rest is fine."

"Big brother," Eve suddenly called me and I looked at her and she asked with a little bit of disappointment, "...Why the butterfly left me all of a sudden?"

My eyes widened...but I just smiled, and started working over the woods again and answered, "Who knows...but you shouldn't care about it once it left."

Eve's eyes widened with surprises, "Take care of the one you have till now, give your everything if it's love, but when it leaves, don't be sad, just stay happy that they stayed with you and you gave your everything, and move on."

Eve's surprises turned into a smile and she nodded her head and said, "So you are saying don't be attached to hurt yourself? You are not attached to anyone? You would be fine if they left you?"

"I don't get attached, it's the simple answer. I am just happy by whatever I have, whatever I have left, and whatever I am going to have in future, and if it leaves, let it go..."

Eve looked at me with curiosity and asked, "So what about me?"

I smiled again, "If you leave me, I will still be happy and would just hope for your best and move on. That's only what I would answer to it as well."

Eve was surprised, but she looked down and smiled, "Right...you are a different person...you won't stop at your life...I really am lucky to have a big brother like you."

I smiled with a sweat, it's a compliment or insult, and Eve just laughed.
