Chapter 152 - Chapter 152: The Gathering of Demon Lords ll

Upon stepping through the gate, Akira found himself in a vast and familiar stone chamber. In the center stood a large circular table crafted from unknown materials, with several individuals already seated around it.

This was the same place where the Walpurgis gathering was held in the original series.

What immediately drew Akira's attention was a familiar magical presence. Though it had grown stronger and darker, he recognized it without difficulty — it was Guy's magic.

"..." – Akira stared at the source of the magic and was slightly startled, a chill running down his spine.

The figure before him wasn't the Guy he knew… but a stunning woman exuding a mysterious allure. She had crimson eyes glowing like burning embers, brimming with unmatched dominance. Her silky hair, the same deep red, flowed like a waterfall down her perfectly sculpted back. Her body was a work of art — a slender waist, a generous bust that rose and fell in quiet tension. She wasn't just beautiful... she was the embodiment of seduction and danger.

She wore a glossy black dress with a high slit that exposed her entire left thigh, paired with high heels that accentuated her arrogant stride. She sat on her chair like it was a throne made for her, one leg crossed over the other in deadly calm as she tilted her head, watching the newcomers.

"Guy…?" – Akira muttered internally, his heart beating faster though he showed no outward tension.

It wasn't her beauty that unnerved him, but her terrifying gaze — filled with disturbing obsession.

A gaze not just piercing but soul-deep, as if she was reading his essence, uncovering every secret in a single glance.

She smiled coldly, not with warmth or welcome, but a terrifying mix of curiosity, obsession… and possession.

Seeing this, Akira swallowed subtly, then quickly shifted his attention to the others present.

The next figure that caught his eye was a handsome boy sleeping peacefully on the table — none other than Dino.

Beside Dino sat a handsome man with long platinum-blond hair and sharp blue eyes, his gaze locked onto Shizu standing behind Akira. His eyes were filled with complex emotions.

Another figure was a muscular man with dark blue hair and closed eyes. He slowly opened a matching pair of eyes, staring at their group with cautious curiosity — this was Dagruel.

Next to him was a man with blond hair and a red tattoo spreading across his exposed chest — Carrion.

Beside Carrion was a beautiful woman with short silver hair, golden eyes, and a pair of white wings on her back — none other than Frey.

Lastly, Clayman sat quietly, a smug look on his face as he stroked the fox fur in his lap.

As Akira surveyed the council, he began analyzing them one by one, his mind racing — measuring their power levels, backgrounds, and apparent intentions.

Dino, despite his lazy appearance, was anything but harmless. Akira knew he was one of the most dangerous among them — his dormant power just waiting to be provoked.

Leon Cromwell, the blond man with blue eyes, had his intense gaze fixed on Shizu. Akira noticed Shizu's slight tension, though she stood firm, facing Leon's conflicted stares with composure.

Dagruel, the blue-haired giant, was clearly sizing up the newcomers. His taut muscles beneath his stony cloak gave the impression of immovable mountains, and his sharp eyes glinted with an ancient warrior's awareness.

Carrion looked proud as usual, but his eyes betrayed caution — especially toward Kurumi, who ignored him completely as she calmly lifted another cup of tea.

Frey sat in her usual elegance, her golden eyes observing everything with careful precision — particularly Milim, who couldn't stop bouncing around beside Akira.

And Clayman… despite his arrogance, Akira felt no real threat from him. He wasn't weak by normal standards, but compared to the rest — and to Akira — he seemed entirely out of place.

After observing everyone, Akira casually took the furthest seat from Guy — a calculated move — while Milim and Luminous sat on either side of him. Ramiris flew over to sit beside Guy, and no one seemed surprised by Guy's current feminine appearance.

Even though Akira knew Guy was originally female and simply preferred a male form, he was still accustomed to the masculine look. That made her current appearance feel a bit off — especially given those bizarre, intense eyes fixed on him.

"Hmph... looks like everyone's here." – The woman at the head of the council finally spoke, her voice soft yet laced with overwhelming authority.

"This Walpurgis was called at the request of Ramiris, Milim, and Luminous — because a new member is joining us," said Guy, her eyes settling on Kurumi, who sat with graceful composure, though her overwhelming magical pressure was impossible to ignore. It was clear she surpassed Carrion, Frey, and Clayman.

From her initial assessment, Guy deduced Kurumi possessed power on par with Dagruel and Dino — likely wielding an Ultimate Skill — placing her in the same league as herself and Milim: the two strongest Demon Lords.

"So... you're Kurumi Tokisaki." – Guy said, tilting her head slightly, her tone a rare mix of curiosity and genuine interest.

All eyes turned to Kurumi, who showed no nervousness. She simply smiled faintly, raising her tea cup for a quiet sip — as if this wasn't the most dangerous council of beings in existence, but a casual afternoon picnic.

"Yes, I personally recommended her." – Milim chimed in, banging the table with excitement. "She's strong, smart, and fun! I like her!"

"Hmph… of course you like her. That doesn't mean she's qualified," Leon replied coldly, glancing briefly at Kurumi, then Shizu, before ignoring them both.

Luminous, seated next to Akira, spoke in her usual refined tone:

"This isn't about personal feelings, Leon. It's about strength and influence. I believe Kurumi is more than qualified."

Clayman scoffed, running his hand over the fox fur:

"Isn't this all a bit suspicious? A mysterious girl suddenly joins and gets a seat without a test? Isn't this a joke?"

Before anyone could reply, Kurumi gently set her cup down and said, her voice soft yet resonant:

"If my presence is troubling, I don't mind undergoing a little 'test.'"

A faint smile crossed her lips — but the power leaking from her was anything but faint.

The air thickened around her. Even time itself seemed to slow for a fraction of a second.

Guy raised an eyebrow, then smiled with genuine interest:

"Oh? You'd fight in front of the council? That's rare."

"No need." – Dagruel suddenly spoke, opening his eyes slowly.

"I can confirm… her power isn't an illusion. I haven't felt such density in centuries. It's pointless to test her for vanity's sake."

"However…" – Leon added, now shifting his gaze to Akira instead of Kurumi, "…if she's that powerful, then who is he? The one who acts like he owns the place and brings someone like her along?"

Now, all eyes turned to Akira, who had remained silent, arms crossed, his gaze cold.

Frey commented:

"He's right. We've had no proper explanation of who he truly is… or how he's connected to Luminous, Milim, and Ramiris."

Carrion added, staring at Akira:

"It's rare for those three to gather around one person. Is he human? Demon? Or something else?"

Guy spoke slowly, tilting her head:

"It's not surprising you don't know him. He hasn't shown himself for thousands of years, and no one even knows his real name."

"This man is one of the Five True Dragons… known as the strongest and most dangerous of them all — the calamity that threatens the world's end… Apocalypse Dragon." – Guy smiled wryly, despite the terrifying titles Akira held, knowing full well he was just a lazy man who preferred to avoid trouble.

A heavy silence fell over the chamber the moment Guy said those words. Even the most self-assured Demon Lords flinched slightly… Apocalypse Dragon — a title lost to legend, whispered in fear, not spoken aloud.

Dagruel stared at Akira with new seriousness, jaw tightening as if something deep within had been stirred.

Leon frowned, muttering:

"One of the Five Dragons…? No, that's impossible. They vanished ages ago."

Clayman, still stroking the fur, froze mid-motion. The arrogance faded from his face, replaced by unease he tried to mask with a cough.

Dino finally opened one eye and lazily glanced at Akira:

"Ah… so the annoying one is back."

Reactions flared among the Demon Lords, but Akira remained unfazed, staring at the ceiling as if something incredibly fascinating were up there.

"I don't intend to meddle in your work or games. I only came to erase any idiot who dares mess with my companions," Akira said, yawning in boredom, then glared at Guy. "And you don't reveal people's identities without their permission. Also, when did you start appearing in female form? Weren't you in your male form at Big Brother's wedding?"

Guy chuckled softly, a sharp, teasing laugh, then leaned forward and clasped her fingers before her face:

"Oh, didn't I tell you? I needed a little change… appearances get tiring, and the male one was so dull lately." – Her crimson eyes glimmered — "But you prefer it, don't you?"

She fluttered her lashes, a flirtatious yet threatening gaze, then vanished and reappeared beside Akira with eyes full of desire and obsession.

"How about a fight after all these centuries apart?" – she whispered with a seductive smile – "But a different kind of fight this time… how about a battle in bed? I'm quite confident in my flexibility and ability to dominate you."

Dead silence followed Guy's bold words. Time itself seemed to freeze inside the Walpurgis hall. A few Demon Lords gasped. Ramiris nearly dropped her tea midair.

Milim burst out laughing, slamming the table with her small hands:

"Ahahaha! This is the best Walpurgis ever!"

Luminous blinked slowly, then turned to Akira with a sideways glance full of disdain… and perhaps a hint of jealousy.

"As brazen as ever… speaking as if you own him, Guy."

Clayman was utterly frozen, mouth slightly agape, unsure whether to feel fear or offended by being completely ignored.

Leon muttered in frustration:

"Did this council turn into a gathering of hormonally repressed teenagers?"

Akira, still unmoved, raised an eyebrow and replied flatly:

"As always, Guy… annoying and obsessed. Now with a more terrifying and revolting twist."

Then he turned his gaze to her, staring directly into her eyes — a cold, deep stare that never changed.

"And if you think a new female form will make me see you differently, then you clearly never knew me at all."

Guy's smile widened, dangerous and unhinged.

"Oh, but I do know you… better than you know yourself. That's what makes it fun."

Dino tugged his sleeping cap over his face and said lazily:

"Could you two save your romantic prologue for later? We're trying to make decisions here, not attend a theater play."

Kurumi, who had been watching quietly with a cryptic smile, finally spoke:

"Oh… what a delightful council. I quite enjoy these dynamics… makes me want to stay longer."

Then she glanced at Akira meaningfully and added:

"But… I'll need to be careful. Seems like hearts are already claimed."

Milim, without hesitation, leapt onto Akira and wrapped her arms around his neck, declaring:

"Akira is my Akira! No one else gets him! Not even Guy!"

Ramiris shouted:

"What are you saying, Milim?! You said he was your brother just last week!"

Luminous murmured so quietly it terrified anyone who heard it:

"It's fine… anyone who gets too close to him will turn to ash… quietly."

At this point, Dagruel decided to intervene, tapping the table with a force that made it feel like a minor earthquake:

"Enough foolishness. If this meeting is to accept Kurumi… then let it be done."

He raised his hand:

"I approve."

Dino, still under his cap, added:

"I approve too, if it means this circus ends sooner."

Frey, Carrion, Leon — they all gave their approval, whether out of caution, curiosity, or the desire to avoid a conflict with a woman wielding an Ultimate Skill and no concern for bloodshed.

Guy finally declared, her voice loud and clear:

"With majority approval, we now declare Kurumi Tokisaki a full-fledged Demon Lord of the Walpurgis Council."
