(POV GENERAL)
The owner and person in charge of LexCorp Lex Luther approached the team with words of attempted charisma only to fall off as a Sardonic insult after another tied together within his strings of lies that Lex used daily.
Josh used to Lex's antics after only meeting the man once showed no signs of anything through his mask that could be detected however Josh under the mask was a different story who was trying to based on his knowledge of Lex attempted as a reason to act this way. Deciding to play along, Josh remained quiet watching Kaldur's actionings seeing if his leadership had taught him anything.
And Shift's proud gaze witnessed no violent action from Kaldur or the team including Kid Flash which was a surprise as the guy had pretty much nothing to say yet didn't, which was the opposite of his dynamic. Which impressed Lex who stopped smiling and began to turn back to his tower saying in his departure making sure they didn't have the chance to see him.
"Lower your arms and let them be." Were Lex's words before returning to his building while his armed men followed leaving the team on the roof. Once freed from the gazes of the numerous guards some of the team (one person) fell to the ground. That person was Kid Flash who looked scarred for reasons no one knew.
Aqualad seeing a comrade downed lended aid giving Kid a way up. Which worked bringing Kid Flash back to his feet where he took a deep breath while everyone stared causing Kid to look at his teammates exhaling "What he's intimidating!"
Everyone remained silent giving Kid Flash an indignant look and then proceeded forward after making sure that BIOSHIP was now hidden. No worries with Lex as even he can't create something to track Martian technology. Surely?
Once the BIOSHIP was completely invisible the team walked into the building finding its steel hallways elusive with each turn Finding no differences with each hall all having the same dust and way of feeling.
Everyone began to notice that something wasn't right as once you turned out towards an exit this one way hall would reappear. No one sure of what was going on except Boy Wonder who looked around and cackled "Mad Hatter."
Everyone familiar with the famed mindcontroller with his hypnotic suggestion and obsession with Alice and Wonderland. Where his moniker the Mad Hatter came to be through these uniquities.
Once the threat was established it didn't take long for this to be disproved but not by Robin or his teammates but by the secret party themselves. "Why how wrong you are boy" The voice seemed calm, collected, like everything was calculated for the team's arrival like clockwork.
The voice was bouncing off the walls providing a very vivid echo, but everyone now felt the presence of someone before them, But their eyes betrayed this feeling of being watched. Then a sudden green wisp of fire emerged and from it the flames came a man clad in green covering his body while his head was replaced with a clock that began to spun.
Besides, the eye catcher of a clock for a head wore only green and emerald with the exception of his cape which had a royalty like aesthetic with red being its capitalizing color with white and black polka dots on the back of it. Once the magician surfaced to the light everyone armed themselves.
Leading the front Robin armed himself with bird-a-rangs. While to his left Superboy just brought his fists up ready for a fight. To Robin's right Miss Martian put her cloak on and levitated as Artemis knocked an arrow at the villain.
Aqualad armed himself with a set of twin maces using his atlantean technology causing his tan skin to emit an ocean blue light from his tattoos. Next to Aqualad were Shift and Kid Flash where the Latter only got into a running position while the former reached back grabbing his sword as the villain known as the Clock King stood before them sizing up the enemy.
As Clock King stared and locked eyes or gears with his opponents. Clock King raised his right hand in a forty-five degree angle causing the teen heroes of an incoming attack. Robin followed his instincts through two Bird-a-rangs towards Clock King. Artemis, seeing the flying projectiles, joined in firing an arrow that once in the air had split in half creating two projectiles alongside Robin's bird-a-rangs.
As the impending projectiles closed in, Clock King brought down his right hand and knee forming a bow causing the once emerald flame to reappear, consuming him saving him from the attacks. In the Clock King's place four doors appeared through the emerald flames in equal numbers on each wall adding a majestic view to this hallway. "If you wish to save your charge I suggest you hurry. Who knows I may be trigger happy." In his retreat Clock King bid farewell as he also hinted at Lex's capture.
At this unexpected variable of being targeted from the get go Shift was about to momentarily take command however was stopped by his need to watch Aqualad's leadership to see how well he'd do and in the need of correction he'd be there. Aqualad after getting the sense of the situation looked between the team and doors and began naming and pointing "Shift go to the far left, I and Robin far right, Miss Martian and Artemis right, and Superboy with Kid go left."
With the commands and orders given the team separated from each other opening their own doors getting one last look at each other before they finally opened their doors seeing them close and disappeared just as they appeared through an emerald flash of flame.
Shift marveled at the door for but a second before taking in his surroundings. The structure he was inside seemed to be a lobby with chairs, desks, and other things a lobby contained like plates and water pitchers.
Shift began to look around seeing there was no way to escape as his only exit was the flaming door that brought him there. Once a lay of land was established Shift looked not trying to map more land but to spot any enemies. However Shift was spotted and then a sudden object fell from above without a sound hitting Shift.
On the ground Shift felt someone grabbing him pinning him to the ground. Shift began fighting for control until he felt more and more toppled him "So youre my foe huh?" The voice sounded bored of himself watching his squirming prey "Yeah yeah I know I got it!" However the voice seemed unique as he was talking to himself or at least that is what appeared to be happening.
Shift began struggling but hesitated as he felt a sharp pain in his side but not paying attention focused all his mind on busting out of this trap by going for the watch. Sift struggling through the wait didn't even bother changing the tiles and just pressed the watch activating the Omnitrix's fluorescent light consuming him.
"What?!" From the light show the foe was startled and then shot back by an electric blast creating a shockwave. From the source of the blast was what seemed to be an animated battery with green eyes and suit shaped like a lighting bolt over his charcoal colored body. Around the living battery's body held metal implants on the hands, shoulders, and head over a green emerald line separating the implant from the charcoal colored skin it had.
Once freed the battery-like entity zipped across the lobby through flight by electricity shooting from its feet. The creature then couldn't stop itself from cackling like a familiar hero and teammate as the Battery spoke its name as it got the advantage of flight "Buzzshock!"
However Buzzshock ultimately confused him as to what he was witnessing. As there was an army below him all wearing the same white and orange jumpsuits with one exception on each suit contained a number. And before Buzzshock could begin counting his foe introduced himself "Yes a worthy challenge for the Everywhere-Man."
