How do you get over the feeling of being broken and feeling all hopes for the future shattered like a broken vase but still stupidly believe that everything is just a nightmare. After my dad's affair and coped with him bringing his mistress and illegitimate son home was too much for my mom to handle. And after her death,my dad never cared about me or anything related to me but to outsiders we were the perfect family,my stepmom treated me like trash in my own father's house but my dad was never interested in having anything to do with me. I was treated more lowly than a servant. Eventually, I was fed up with their treatment and my dad's irresponsibility towards me so I ran away. Not knowing where I was going, walking for three days without food, which is a pretty good try for a six years old child but luckily,a middle age woman saved me and took me as his son not even caring to look for my parents. Finally feeling free from my family's clutches,I lived a normal life. But I was never one to make friends easily but Josh was my only best friend whom I can rely on. He was always with me right for day one ,when I first moved in with my adopted Mom. Everything went smoothly and peaceful until my sophomore year, I met Lily. Lily has always been my crush every seen middle School but no one knew except Josh. Lily and I are on the same class but she hardly ever looked my way and even if she did ,it was only to make fun of Josh and me because we're usually the nerd in class. One day, after hanging out with Josh at our usual spot, I decided to take the bull by it's horn. I asked Lily out and after three to four days she agreed and that day was the best day of my life,Josh was also happy for me. We kept going on dates, hanging out, meeting up with her friends but everything thing was based on what she wants and not considering me and naive lovestruck boy like me believed that was the way it should be,I spent every cash that I had on her just to make her happy and things kept working out till we graduated from high school,we kept seeing each other but at some point,she started distancing herself from me. I won't hear from her for two days,she would only call me if she needed me for something and when my Mom died ,Lily nor her friends were seen. Few weeks later,Josh told me that Lily left me to be with another guy and she was pregnant when she left, leaving me utterly confused because their was a fifty fifty chance that the child might me mine. Could these day get any worse?. On entering the house,I saw a man I never wish to see ever on my entire life talking to my Mom and my Mom standing and keeping her head low like the way a servant does to his or her Master,"Mom, what the hell is he doing here and why are you standing in your own house","I see that Clarissa never taught any manners while you were with her in my absences. No hello or any form of respect towards me your father". Hearing the word father and the way he was talking to my Mom as if he knew that she was the one taking care of me all the while I was away from home but I chose never to believe him until I hear from my Mom,"Mom,what the hell is he talking about,and how does he know your first name and where you live and why is everything not making any sense at all right now ,explain everything to me,tell me that everything that he is saying is a lie". But seeing the way that my Mom kept silent told me that the devil of a father is telling the truth and since I already been lied and deceived from everybody that I love ,I guess it won't hurt any less if he just say what he want to and get the hell away from here. Turning to him with anger visible iny eyes,I rudely asked him,"Let's not waste each other's time,just spill what ever nonsense you came here to spill","fine since you seen to be in a hurry,let's skip the formalities and get straight to the point,your late Mom left a will that once you reach the legal age of 18 you will inherit everything that she owns and since your brother is in a vegetative state you are the only legitimate heir that I have left so I transfered my ownership properties to you and I have only sixontjs left to live and I don't want your useless and envious uncle to have any single bitof my wealth". After hearing all the nonsense that he spoke I felt like laughing but feeling to heartbroken I simply spoke without any filter,"First of all,I don't know if you forgot or not but I don't have any brother so I don't know the brother you are talking about and secondly how does you short miserable life have anything to do with me and lastly why will I agree to allow you merge your dying business that is about to go bankrupt". "Hahaha,like father like son. Never do a business that doesn't benefit you in a big way. Fine you can state any conditions that you want in order to help me but know that without mine and your mother's wealth and resources,you will never know all the things that you long for and since justice for your broken heart and no one will ever bully you but in return you have to complete three necessary tasks for me,just think of it as a farewell gift". Feeling the need to really know if Lily was pregnant with my child or if she just thought of me as someone utterly useless and dumped me once she found a way for herself and the sense of justice burning on my heart for my dead Mom burnt high by the minute,"Ok,firstly ,I don't want to be seen in public and if I have to I have to wear mask or something to cover my really identity until I have uncover everything. Secondly I don't want you or that silly she devil wife of yours or any body that I didn't want to interfer with any decisions that I make whether it is business related or personal and I will tell the last one when I'm sure that the first and second conditions are maintained,and know for sure that I won't leave with you with Josh and his sister. Come back after three days to hear my final decision if you are as serious as you speak and my recognition party must be a masquared party and to show your sincerelity make show that Lily and her so called finance and everything about him is within my grasp before Mom's death anniversary if you still remember the date and in case you forgot it is a day before my birthday and don't be late,I hate tardiness and you can take your leave before I come back from Josh's house and Mom you have alot of explaining to do when I come back". I stroked out without looking back because starting in that house with that monster intthe same space suffocates me alot and brings back memories I wish to forget.
