The two lay back-to-back, and the atmosphere finally wasn't as awkward as before when they were facing each other, bodies so close they could feel each other's breath.

Carson Flores answered candidly, "No reason, just an instinctive reaction."
Selah Ellison Fairy snorted lightly, "I'm much stronger than you."
Carson hummed in agreement, "Naturally. Outside, I definitely wouldn't have done so. Mainly, it's because I can't engage in cultivation practice here. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to mask my life aura. My bones are a bit sturdier, so without cultivation, I could manage a bit better."
Selah Ellison Fairy said indifferently, "Considering your dedication to saving me, I'll let this matter go. But don't overthink anything, or you'll bear the consequences yourself."
Carson chuckled, not taking her words to heart.
