Callie Matthews looked at Carson Flores with much calmer eyes: "The Heavenly Alliance wants human captives to refine war souls."
Carson raised an eyebrow: "War souls?"
Callie explained: "Specially tempered primordial spirits, freed from the body's constraints. As long as the magic artifact doesn't break, they won't dissipate. They become soldiers without thoughts, obeying all commands of the owner until they completely die and the primordial spirit dissipates."
Carson was taken aback: "The Heavenly Alliance has such ability to extract a person's primordial spirit and refine it into a war soul to fight for themselves?"
Callie shook her head: "I don't know about that, but they exchanged with us for powerful human race captives for this purpose, even wanting Heavenly Immortals."
