"What's wrong?" Yu Jingchen asked in a low voice.
An Ning's hand trembled as she held the phone. "First, tell me, have you ever been with another woman? Have you ever had a one-night stand?"
Yu Jingchen paused for quite a while. "Did you remember something?"
His pause extinguished the hope in her heart and brought her back to calmness.
Holding the phone, her face silently streamed with tears.
How could the person from back then be a stranger? If it really were him, how lucky would her life have been?
Her heart kept tinging with bitterness; such a lucky thing surely wouldn't happen to her.
"It's nothing, I just had a nightmare," An Ning wiped away her tears.
"Alright, but if there's anything, you must tell me. Also, don't dwell too much on certain things," Yu Jingchen advised.
"I know!" An Ning said softly, feeling very downcast.
"Did you feed the meat to my fish on time?" Yu Jingchen changed the topic, trying to cheer her up.
