Xi Xi listened to Yu Jinxiu and couldn't help but furrow his brows.
"What happened after the call ended?"
Yu Jinxiu: "After hanging up, Teacher Ruan looked at his phone for a while."
"Where's the phone?"
"It fell in the car earlier, I picked it up." Yu Jinxiu pulled Ruan Qi's phone out of his pocket and handed it to Xi Xi.
Xi Xi took the phone and tried to unlock it, only to find that the screen wouldn't light up.
"Is it out of battery?" Yu Jinxiu asked.
Xi Xi shook his head. He asked Mo Lan for a charging cable, then found a power outlet in the hallway to plug in the phone.
The darkened phone screen still didn't respond, not even showing the charging icon.
Xi Xi: "The phone's broken."
"Broken?" Yu Jinxiu scratched his head in confusion, "Ah... Could it be that Teacher Ruan dropped the phone when she fainted, and it broke? Or, did we accidentally step on it while rescuing Teacher Ruan?"
